Call of Duty is also a very big deal, but when it's being presented they know not to go on and on and on about it because they understand it's probably not what people are really interested in.

COD always gets a significant presence wherever it's presented. It got a lengthy spot in Sony's conference just yesterday. The only other games that got more presence was Sony's first party stuff, and even now, Zelda is about to totally take the stage so there will be more Zelda stuff than Pokemon, I'm sure.

The lack of new Pokemon reveals was a major disappointment. If you're gonna show off a new Pokemon game it should probably have some new Pokemon.

Core audiences don't really watch Nintendo Treehouse. The main Zelda trailer on YT has over 107,000 views in less then 45 mins. Honestly think that is the main attraction today.

Core audiences watch E3 stuff, not casuals. They most certainly do watch it.

After the original trailer people were debating whether Link was a boy or girl, because they thought the model looked really feminine, because apparently everyone who played a Zelda game forgot what a Zelda game was. The director confirmed Link was a boy directly after.

There was a recent rumor floating around that you could chose between male or female, but that was just a rumor that some 'insiders' dropped.
