E3 2016

I took a nap and woke up late, and I just finished up Sony's conference. Sony won E3. That is how you do a conference. New God of War! New Kojima game! A PS4 EXCLUSIVE SPIDER-MAN BY INSOMNIAC?! RESIDENT EVIL 7!? That Android Cop game looks cool. Days Gone looks fantastic. Oh man. So goddamn good. I'm blown away. Sony saved E3 this year.

Now correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't Rockstar meant to have a big reveal this E3?

To sum up how I feel right now:

I thought so too. I was pretty bummed out that there was no sign of a new Red Dead.

I also think Sony should have spent some time on the PS4 itself. Obviously, a reveal or tease of the Neo would have been nice, but barring that, they could have discussed the next big update coming to the PS4 with some awesome new features.

Btw this man right here wins best outfit of E3 hands down.

I think at some point you just need to admit that you care more about hardware than software.

Once Playstation VR out, they will probably talk more about Neo.
Considering the format they use for this conference, talking about PS4 features would have mess up their pacing. I mean with the orchestra there, you want to get the most of them instead of having wait sitting there for half an hour while Sony talks about features

perhaps that is true.

not just the hardware, though, but the ecosystem and overall "vision."

maybe that's why MS and the X1 appeals to me more than the PS4 currently does.

and I do care about software and games. I just felt that nothing shown at Sony's show really appealed to me, other than Spidey.

Could I get the story on this?

Well, apparently the takeover is seeming imminent. Gameloft just went through it, by Vivendi as well, which was run by the brother, and co-founder of Gameloft, of the guy in charge of Ubisoft. His brother just stepped down after the takeover. And it's understood that Ubisoft seriously doesn't want it to happen. I'm assuming because that would mean they would't be in charge of their own destiny anymore.

At the least, the end of the conference felt like them begging not to be broken up if they are acquired.

Man, lots of surprises at the Sony conference.

that would have completely killed the flow of this conference and really that stuff has no business being in here. A PS Blog post would be more appopriate. They already confirmed Neo wouldnt be discussed

Actually, like almost everything from Sony's conference leaked outside RE7, though many were expecting it at the Sony conference (though not the way it was shown).

true.

and I'm starting to think that the Neo really will be a 2017 deal like Scorpio and NX.

So Neo, Scorpio and NX all set to release next year.

Is 2017 the start of the 9th generation or is it all still part of the 8th gn?

seems more like Round 2 of the 8th gen.......lol.

I guess generations are over? I mean it feels that Scorpio and Neo is what should have been XBOX One and PS4, but wasn't possible at the time, but couldn't prolong 7th gen to get there

All about dem games.

just imagine if, at one of these conferences, Bioware teased a new project - a new Star Wars RPG in the vein of Mass Effect or Dragon Age.

THAT would have made me go.........:hmr:

That is so true down to the core, the 7th gen (PS3 & 360) should ended a few years earlier imo, like 2011, giving this 8th gen the perfect 5 years to stretch its legs for the 9th wave (Scorpio, NX, Neo) to start.
