Feige said that? When? And more importantly: why?? How the heck does he figure that T'Challa is in any way even remotely similar to Thor?

......really?

Fiege gets asked every chance someone talks to him on what's coming up. Sometimes he gives a nugget or two and sometimes he doesn't. He probably felt okay to say what was in the pipeline and being developed at that point.

Has nothing to do with linking Thor and BP....

But when are they going to make those films is what I want to know? Are they going to go through every white male character before getting to those characters?

Damn racist and sexist Marvel......

But, I would watch it on Fox.
I am not going to subscribe to Netflix just so I can watch a few programs .

They should have released the shows on a broadcast network.

Netflix be damned.

Throne issues I suppose. There are some similarities but all BP needs is a great story. I want to see him done right. I'd really rather they not rush his introduction.

Netflix is way cooler. You get all the episodes at once and can binge watch, plus it's only 8$ rather than the crazy amounts of money people have to pay for Cable.

I already have cable, why should I pay more for Netflix ?

I and hate binge watching.

Edit: Better wait for a DVD release then.

^^ Whatchutalkinbout Willis? Having Netflix is like having a TV at this point. Binge watching RUUUULES, esp if you have shows you love.

Youd actually bypass having the new MCU Netflix shows to view whenever you want to wait for the DVD set?

Or a black panther movie, which is stupid by now that we don't have one, is Marvel afraid that white people wont show up to see the that?

This is arguably one of the poorest criticisms Ive seen towards Marvel Studios. Despite their success, the MCU has still just begun. Theyre still in prime Aveners territory when it comes to their solo films in their universe, hence why they havent explored any properties outside Iron Man, Thor, Cap and hulk yet [lets face it, guardians is only bein made so soon because a) they want to set up Thanos and b) have a decent substitute for the FF for now].

Its not racism. It makes complete sense to me to get Black Panther by phase 3 at the earliest. We know for a fact already a BP film is in development and Phase 3 will explore lesser caracters (the Netflix shows, Ant-Man, possibly no IM4, etc.). heck, we are already gettin a black and a female protaonist in at least two Netflix series. Ill be very surprised if BP doesnt get a solo film by Pase 3, so until Marvel makes more annoucements regarding post-2015 projects, that argument doesnt hold up at all.

Plus, Marvel could always put Hawkeye into a Black Panther movie and boom...you get something to attract the mainstream audience.

I'm not going to miss out if some dude doesn't want Netflix. It's his choice. Let him wait it out. But he shouldn't make the rest of us listen to him ***** because he won't pony up 8 bucks a month either.

That anti-Netflix POV is like someone handing a person a lighter but they refuse it cuz they want to use 2 sticks to make a fire.

Or if he wants to be stingy, get the free trial right after the first Netflix series comes out, cancel it after watching Daredevil, then renew for a month each time a new show arrives.

yeah I was going to come back and mention the free trials they run all the time.

But hell, even if he waited until all the shows were out, and then subscribed for one month that's more than enough time to watch them all and 60 hours of programming for $8 = 13 cents an episode, plus watch when you want, no commercials, and no risking a missed episode because of power outages or drunken DVR.

I wish Agents of SHIELD was on Netflix or a premium channel like HBO. Networks come with way too much baggage.

Yeah. Regarding minority superhero films, people need to be more patient. Thus far Marvel has had to build their brand and their basic universe. That's why they have exclusively used (by far) their biggest and most popular characters (Iron Man, Hulk, Cap & Thor). GotG is the first to move to the second-tier heroes, a group which I would consider Black Panther and Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers to be a part of. They are two of the most established heroes with quality stories and supporting cast that Marvel has outside of the first tier guys.

We are still in Phase 2. If we are through Phase 4 and we still haven't seen a Marvel film with a minority or female lead character, it would be time to start raising questions. But it is still very early.

Netflix brought this greatness from Arrested Development:

Why would you wish that?! It's not like AOS will show nudity or cursing if it was on a premium network. It's a family show it's perfect where it is currently

Less executive meddling. Less of an emphasis on ratings. Commercial free. One straight season of a reasonable length as opposed to trying to stretch it for 20+ episodes with re-runs intermixed between new episodes.

It isn't about being able to be more adult, but there is far more BS to deal with on one of the networks.

Clark Gregg recently said that Agents of SHIELD will have ten straight episodes for the first half of season two, followed by 8 episodes of Agent Carter and then ending with 12 straight episodes of the second half of season two.

Ok. That's not what the first season was like.

Oh I know that. It was maddeningly frustrating.

But no network in their right mind was going to compete with the Winter Olympics, hence reruns.

He said it was 12 for the first half of season two, 8 for Agent Carter and 10 for second half.

I subscribed to Netflix just to watch the final episodes of Breaking Bad here in the UK. But I ended up staying for the rich library of films and TV shows that make it more than worth the price of admission.
