Or specific dialog, scenes, etc. We don't know how extensively the movie was rewritten last script.
From Adams twitter: "And yes, met w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work."

Too busy, as I suspected. If you look at his IMDB page he has a ton of stuff going on under the producer tab.
I'm sure this won't stop anyone from assuming the worst though.![]()

All movies starring Will Ferrell.
Im looking to see how many directors balk at this production. we'll know better when its either left vacant or picked up soon.
Right now I dont think Wright left because the script was terrible, I think he left because of the fact they changed some of it without his say so. They wouldnt be meeting with directors at all if it was junk.

Reality check: Noone who buys a ticket to Ant Man will care if Wright left because of plot points that werent exactly as he wanted, all they care about is if the film is entertaining and if its another great MCU installment.
My take on this: Wright turned Ant Man into something it was never supposed to be and when Marvel altered it to fit in with their universe, he split because it wasnt an Edgar Wright film anymore. Theres no other explanation why the guy would leave. As I said before, Marvel has the final say of what they want. Its not Wrights place to dictate anything.
POSTER WILL READ: Marvel's Ant Man, not Edgar Wright's Ant Man or (Insert Directors) Ant Man
You know who's got some time open now?

This guy!
He just wrapped filming The Rock on Hercules. GIVE HIM ANT-MAN MARVEL!
I think most are turning it down due to it being so late in the game to get their vision into the film since Marvel is on a tight timeframe to get it done. They basically have to hit the ground running and I bet most directors don't want to just be thrust into a major film with no prep time.
Here's the thing.
Marvel has already selected the cast, the script, the sets, and everything is storboarded. This is a job for director in name only (DINO), and according to a lot of fans here Marvel are experts, as such the movie will be great guaranteed, probably better than what Wright wanted to make.
Therefore, by that logic, this should be seen as a golden opportunity for aspiring directors. They don't need to hit the ground running, they're walking onto a rolling carpet.

^^ Nicely put! I dont think there needs to be much more vision at this point. Most of the work is done. Also without any personal problems due to the script being altered, the new guy should jump right into it.

It's looking better for D'Esposito everyday. That's why Louis D'Esposito would be the perfect choice. He's already the second (or third) in command and has directed two of the One Shots. He would adhere to Marvel's standards.
