To be honest, not really. I was a little dissapointed by IM2 (still really enjoy it though) and I didnt love Thor 2, thats probably my biggest complaints. Im really thrilled theres an MCU at all. I love this universe and thank Marvel for doing it so successfully.
That's where you and I differ. I liked Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 and Thor: TDW although I had issues with all three. But my main beef with the MCU is the lack of diversity in the Avengers. I am glad that Scarlet Witch has been added, to basically prevent the film from being "Black Widow and Maria Hill in a Sausage Festival" but there is not a single person of color in the Avengers, and I am not counting Nick Fury. However, I am cautiously optimistic that this issue will be resolved by Avengers 3. It's an issue I am sure that Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon are well aware of. How they will fix it remains to be seen, as right now I think it's 50-50 for both Black Panther and Carol Danvers (it has to be one of them as I don't see both right now unless they expand, although my preference is both). I will heavily criticize the MCU for it if a film of neither happens and they do a film with yet another male, white superhero (unless it's another Hulk movie) after Dr. Strange, Cap 3 and Thor 3 but before Avengers 3. If I had to choose between Carol or T'Challa, my pick would be Black Panther.
Again, my preference would be for both, but right now as it stands, the plans for 2016-2017 is for one existing property and one new property. If that new property is Inhumans instead of Carol or T'Challa, then they need to have the team be as diverse as possible, perhaps casting an actor of color as Black Bolt and two actresses of color as Medusa and Crystal. If they make an Inhumans movie and all of the characters are played by white actors, I will have an issue with Marvel Studios over it asking the question "Why the hell did they choose the Inhumans over Black Panther?" Because the Inhumans have two females, I would not question why them over Carol.
I have confidence in Marvel Studios that the issue of diversity will be fixed. I don't think it will happen in Avengers 2, because Rhodey is nothing more than a cameo based on the latest rumors, but I am cautiously optimistic that we'll see a person of color as a prominent member of the Avengers by Avengers 3.
