Edgar Wright Talks Ant-Man

Funny how a guy who smacked his wife around can be called "goody two shoes."

I think this could be a really fun movie nonetheless, I heard a lot of criticism about him getting a movie as opposed to others, but he has been an important part of the Avengers.

Plus it will be interesting to see a pint sized hero in action, just seeing things from a mini perspective is kind of cool.

I would be interested in a script review, since Wright is apparently on his second draft.

Hint hint Advanced Dark :cwink:

And some people question if Flash can support his own movie...

Screw the Ultimate version. Hank has one mental breakdown a decade ago and is branded for life. Stan Lee's original creation is what was referenced in that mini-article. I focus on Time Magazine's Man of The Year and not that Ultimate bastardization.

I really like what Wright has been saying. I truly hope Ant-Man is the movie Marvel is pushing to make a 2009 release. Thor seems a mess at the moment.

For me "Ant-Man" is the 2009 release.

Edgar Wright shall make this film spectacular. :woot:

I can't wait for this. I think a lot of naysayers are going to be eating crow.

(not that they'd have the guts to admit it, of course :yay: )

What I want to know is...Does Hank Pym meet Janet Van Dyne aka The Wasp in the film? The Wasp is one of my favorite superheroines, so I hope she is in the film. Otherwise, I will have much less interest in an Ant Man film.

For me:

''Thor'' and ''Ant-Man'' are settle for 2009.

''Captain America'' is settle for 2010, along with ''Nick Fury (Maybe)''

On 2011, they mix everything and THE AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

I'm just hoping this leads to an Avengers film .

I'm hoping they are already dating or get together in the film. Wasp should be pym love intrest and if Langs in the movie I wouldn't mind seeing cassie in it either.

There's been no mention of Wasp yet, though Pym would need some kind of supporting cast in his segment, so maybe they'll use her too. Cassie pretty much has to be in it, since she's integral to both Scott's character and his origin story.

From Simon Pegg EW interview
Wait, let's go back. Are there people more geeky than you?
Oh, I'm sure. Honestly, I'm a self-confessed geek, but when [Spaced, Hot Fuzz, and Shaun of the Dead collaborator] Edgar Wright and Quentin Tarantino get together and talk, I'm lost. They're talkin' about actors I've never heard of and films I've never seen. I think geek is the word for people who are just unabashedly enthusiastic, and you take that to whatever level you want. Some people have it consume their whole life; some people, it's a hobby. I'm proud to be a geek, but there are bigger, better ones out there.

Wow Edgar is on a film Geek level as Tarantino
