Elfman is Working on the Music

YAY!!!!!, elfman is back!, this is great news!, elfman is great at making the spidey music, im very happy hes back.

Where's Kipobe, I feel he had something to do with this, I'd imagine it entails ropes peanut butter and unimaginable sex acts...

I guess this clears the doubt on whether or not they can use the 'spider-man' theme in the beginning. It would have felt rather off if they went with another beginning theme for the third movie.

im glad the theme will be returning, its freaking cool.

So very awesome!!:woot: I consider him the best in music today.

Grant also said he'll give some insight on that 4th villian in his next blog.

look at this..

"Hey Grant. You guys get some serious props for making these movies. Anyway, my questions are two that I'm sure everyone asking. When can we expect some news on this mysterious 4th villian and when can we see a full blown pic of venom? Anyway, just wanna tell you you guys rock again and thanks!"

Jimmy, Look to a future weblog for this answer. Be well. Grant

THEY MIGHT SHOW VENOM IN THE NEXT WEBLOG!!

IM SO EXCITED. there is now officialy nothing wrong with this movie.

Even if Elfman didn't return for spidey3, they would've used the theme in the beginning, as the studio/sony/sam owns the rights to elfmans music.

Where is Visionary?? He'll be thrilled to hear this :oldrazz: :D

I'm delighted Elfman is back. I hope he gives Sandman his own theme music like he did with Ock. Loved Ock's one.

Good news! I thought he was doing perfect for these movies, even though it reminded me of Batman.

I wonder what Sandman's theme would sound like, something with brushes going over cymbals to give it that sandy sound? Ock's had a bunch of blaring horns that matched his stomping tentacles I think. What about a Venom theme? Maybe an Eddie Brock theme makes more sense, but that becomes twisted a little once he becomes Venom. I'm glad Eflman is at least part of the music now, and I wonder too if they will tweak the opening theme like they did for Spidey 2; it was a little different sounding than Spidey 1 even though it was the same theme.

Dammit! Elfman is so freakin overrated. His scores for the spidey movies aren't that great and aren't even that memorable. To be honest, I think the guy's lost his touch.

Sucks for you then I guess. Personally I'm rejoicing. :)

Yay :D

I always loved Elfman's score for the Spidey movies and in general. His score is the reason is why when I watch the Spider-Man movies, I always watch the opening credits :D

This may be a dumb question, but did Elfman do the score that is used in the Spider-Man 3 trailers? I know that's not his in the teaser, but the one that is used in the second teaser and the behind the scenes trailer? If so it sounded really good and had an epic/apocalyptic vibe to it.

Almost sounded as though this is the final film and that this will be the battle of all battles.

Either way I'm happy he's back.

i respect your opinion, but i personally place the spiderman theme in my top 3, right below star wars, and lord of the rings, for most memorable....this is great news, i love elfmans work....and more importantly, continuity

first of all, sorry for posting twice in a row...

the music in the trailers was "with great power" by "immediate music", i loved that song and felt that the brooding, dark sense of it had an epic feel, i hope it is used/incorporated into the movie as well
