From all the encounters with him that i've read about, (i'm making him sound like a damn alien.) he seems like a pretty awesome guy.
It doesn't strike me as very odd.. the kid asked, Raimi answered.

Superman Returns is through Warner Bros and Spider-Man 3 is through Columbia Pictures. I am not positive but I don't think movie companies advertise trailers to other filming companies.

Ghost rider is from Columbia also- but the trailer played with X-men. And Supes trailer played with X-men also- and X is Fox.
