The actor playing the older Lex clone did a great job, but from his look alone, I was getting more Uncle Fester vibes than Lex Luthor vibes.

I'm sure a lot of you know that the actor that played the older Lex, we have seen him before. He played the Doctor in the Cyborg episode

Not sure why everyone is harping on Jor-El. He's clearly trying to protect Clark here.


SV's Darkseid seems to be some kind of ghost/demon (inspired by Satan I suppose) that manipulates people through the darkness in their hearts.

Jor-El is making Clark face his inner demons so he won't fall prey to Darkseid.


It's pretty straight forward. Though, I'm just not a fan of Clark being so screwed up all of a sudden. He seemed to be on the right track last season and this supposed internal struggle was never really played up or set up in a noteworthy way. Lois was supposed to be the person that pulled Clark from out of the darkness on the show (Pandora) but it sounds like they're stretching out that journey and making things more difficult.

He looked like standard Smallville CGI.

Personally I prefer it over another fake looking suit like failsday.

I do believe though they are going to play up the Satan/Devil motif with Darkseid. It seemed apparent to me when in Lazarus everyone was suddenly referring to "the darkness" and darkness in people's hearts..

Am I the only one that loved it when Nabu was putting Chloe down. "Petty Girl, you are not the Chosen One."

Umm When did this happen?

I just watched it again and all I saw was Chloe pick up the helmet and ask it to show her where GL was and it asked her "Would you sacrifice yourself to save the archer?" and she put it on, then it went to commercial. When it came back Chloe was out on the floor and Clark finds her.

The DS design was awesome, the CGI looked crappy, however Smallville has humongous balls to go with more classic designs lately, considering its restrained budget. The CG in the falling Daily Planet globe scene were crappy as well, but the series gets a bravo from me, for putting whatever money they have to such good use.

They will eventually have to show Darkseid's materialized form. I think Darkseid will be easier to incorporate then Doomsday. D-day looked good, Darkseid can look even better. Until then keep him as a CGI or lurking in the shadows. And give him Michael Ironside's voice.

I kid, I kid. Though I'll squeal if Darkseid possesses the General in Ambush. ;P
