Is it just me or are these episodes moving faster and faster with a commerical break every 5 seconds. I hate that! I feel it takes away from Smallville sometimes, making certain episodes fell rushed. I think I have to re-watch "Echo" again because there are certain parts I missed from how quick the episode was moving. But this was definately a good episode, not as awesome as the first 3 episodes, but has some awesome moments throughout.
The Good:
The opening sequence-Jesus Christ! The budget reall went up this year!

The flying helicopter, The stunning daylight shot of Metropolis, the Blur speeding around saving the hostages, the buring "S" on the ground and the Blur stopping the bomb with his chest. EPIC! So Freakin' epic!
Clark-Man, he was on fire tonight as usual! When he's Clark, he's awesome and when he's the Blur, he's even more awesome! He was figuring things out quickly and saved the day nicely, even figuring out Toyman's fauk Toyman! I also liked how he used the mind reading power to find information on Toyman and stop him. But it sucked he had to push Lois away to do so and stand her up again...*sigh*.
Oliver-I actually really got into Oliver's storyline this week and Justin was excellent throughout. My favorite scene was when he almost broke down talking to Tess and his chat with Clark at the Ace of Clubs. I really do hope Oliver gets out of this mess!
Toyman-I really love Smallville's version and I loved the reveal of the fake Winslow being the bomb, classic Toyman move. The actor is really great in the part.
Tess-She kicked a$$ in this episode. I loved her scene with Oliver and how she went from caring to cold when Oliver pretty much wouldn't open up to her. Cassidy was solid. Also her last scene with Toyman was pretty badass and I loved how Tess when Toyman to reactivate Metallo. Good twist!
The reflection of Lex-Creepy!
The cinematography/SFX-Again, really awesome this year! We got superstrength, heat vision, superspeed, x-ray vision, super-hearing/mind-reading all from Clark in one episode. That hasn't happened for a while now!
More location shots-WHOOOOOOOO!!!

The Bad:
The use of Lois-I felt Lois was downplayed and was only used for comic relied. Yeah, the mind-reading scenes with Clark were prett funny, but wanted more from Lois. I wanted to see her out there getting the story, not reduced to the punch line. But the first and last scene with Clark had that Clois magic as usual!

t:
Chloe-Besides helping Clark getting those people out of Ace of Clubs, she really is becoming pointless this season and she got all jealous of Lois again! Ehw!
Clark knocking out that hostage-That was messed up! He just assumed that was the bad guy. But I'm assuming that was the mistake Jor-El was talking about that triggered the mind-reading ability, so not too big...
You know, there was nothing really wrong with this episode, no real plot holes to speak of. In fact, I think the last 3 episodes had more plotholes than "Echo", but why do I like them more than "Echo".

Overall, this was good episode! We're 4 for 4 guys! Next Week, Roulette! She's looking good...
