Why everyone after Ollie? First toyman now the chick next week...Seems Ollie public enemy.

That was a great episode,:awesome::up: perfect ending too, loved it!!!:atp::D

lol yea poor ollie is target number one for everyone. Also roulette looks pretty sexy.

That was an awesome episode. Love the interaction between Lois and Clark, Tess and Ollie, and all of the Toyman scenes. Nice to see Clark learned something valuable, and a nice subtle tie in to the season long arc.

pretty good episode overall. I do miss Zod. Hope he returns soon and they get back to the main arc.

I missed the last 10 minutes, what happened? Last I saw was up to the last commercial break where Clark found out Ollie tried to kill himself.

Well Tonights Return of the toyman was another pretty decent episode in my opinion. I didnt see any real faults in the episode that detered my enjoyment. Bryan Q millar hit another good one with his first season 9 episode. I really enjoyed his episodes last year. So i think he is doing well here again. He writes lois and clark very well. I thought all their scenes were solid writing and erica and tom played off each other well. Though seeing over at some other places they say this wasnt BQM best. Though everyone has their opinions.

Also looks like tonight we got a new director to the smallville crew. This new director did pretty well i thought. Camera angles, lighting, and camera movements were all pretty good. Costuming looked good with the tuxs, toyman's outfit, lois monster truck outfit/dress.

The opening was pretty sweet looking too. A toyman hostage factory workers of a queen industry subsidery. I loved how clark spead into the scene it looked sweet. Then the one by one speed saving all the hostages was cool move there. Then flatjacking the bomb was a cool move, he has done it before but not that often. At first i thought the mind reading power was due to his hearing getting affected by the bomb blast.

The phonebooth change was neat, and the whole toughness clark is as a hero mode is great to see. Its great when clark is very proactive and all that. The mind reading power was also pretty cool for temporary power that it was. I know when the spoilers first came out it sounded like a stupid idea but it worked well for the episode. I loved the lovey lovey stuff lois was saying about clark and he heard them all. Also using it to try to get a date with lois was pretty neat.

Also it looked like clark and chloe are finally in a good stable place in their frienship now. Its nice that we are getting past the whole jimmy death stuff. Then seeing jorel again was good, I always love hearing stamp's jorel. Also with him making clark able to do mind reading was pretty good. I liked how he said it was temporary and it was to help clark focus on the details of things.

As for ollie he is really hitting it very down the bottom these days. Now in some shady mexico like place picking up married women lol. Boy he would have had his butt handed to him if tess didnt show up and save him. I thought he and tess had a good chat there about his recent downard spiral and his reasons about that.

I thought the whole mind reading power was handled well with clark and lois at the hospital scenes trying to get to who was behind things. Then as i said him asking lois on something date like. To bad they never got to go to that monster truck date. Poor clark was like a little bit peter parker on hero work always messing up getting some love. Though i did like how clark on his own was able to figure out toyman was back and was after ollie.

I know alot of fans like when clark is doing things on his own and not relaying on chloe for all the info. I did like how chloe was at watchtower for tech support to help clark and ollie out at the club/board meeting to get everyone out. Also it was a cool way to use the mind reading powers to get into the board meeting, and lois showing up in a monster truck and wearing a dress was pretty cool.

It was great to see that the mind reading power left clark and he had to use his head to save everyone and protect ollie. As for toyman the villain this week he was creepy as hell. I loved the whole toyman says game he had with ollie and was trying to might him reveal that he really killed lex and not toyman as ollie pinned on him. Also loved when clark found the toyman and their chat, it was cool that toyman liked that clark followed his work, and then clark on his own again learned that the bomb was on a timer and not a pressure plate trigger.

But boy what an interesting twist that the toyman clark found was just a robot, now that was pretty dam sweet move he pulled there. Also great that toyman didnt get away like how some villains would with a move like that. Also i read the prison toyman was sent to called styker i believe is something important in comics? is that right?

As for ollie boy he really just doesnt want to live any more with how things are going for him. I was shocked a bit he was going to commit sucide before he knew the bomb wasnt on a pressure trigger. The man really needs some help there. Though the chat with clark about everyone wearing masks and who you are behind the mask was pretty good. Also that allusion of ollie becoming lex in the reflection was pretty sick.

Now tess protecting ollie against toyman was pretty cool move there, she is evil but still has some twisted sense of good in here. But boy i didnt see her using toyman to learn how to reactive metallo's power source. So it looks like metallo return is nicely set up if they do choose to bring the character back. I wonder what toyman is going to do to bring him back online.

As for the ending with lois and clark it was sweet he was able to make up with lois so when they do get their date she will be willing to do it again. So its nice they are still good to go once that does happen.

So in the end another good episode in my mind, a few small faults nothing major. So cant wait to see how ratings do. Hopefully it will be in 2.2-2.5 million range.

really happy with that episode, it was great. My only beef: he should be using more/all of his existing powers. Had that been so, that poor hostage wouldn't be all messed up. That is all. Was thoroughly entertained by this episode.

Is it just me or are these episodes moving faster and faster with a commerical break every 5 seconds. I hate that! I feel it takes away from Smallville sometimes, making certain episodes fell rushed. I think I have to re-watch "Echo" again because there are certain parts I missed from how quick the episode was moving. But this was definately a good episode, not as awesome as the first 3 episodes, but has some awesome moments throughout.

The Good:

The opening sequence-Jesus Christ! The budget reall went up this year!:wow: The flying helicopter, The stunning daylight shot of Metropolis, the Blur speeding around saving the hostages, the buring "S" on the ground and the Blur stopping the bomb with his chest. EPIC! So Freakin' epic!

Clark-Man, he was on fire tonight as usual! When he's Clark, he's awesome and when he's the Blur, he's even more awesome! He was figuring things out quickly and saved the day nicely, even figuring out Toyman's fauk Toyman! I also liked how he used the mind reading power to find information on Toyman and stop him. But it sucked he had to push Lois away to do so and stand her up again...*sigh*.

Oliver-I actually really got into Oliver's storyline this week and Justin was excellent throughout. My favorite scene was when he almost broke down talking to Tess and his chat with Clark at the Ace of Clubs. I really do hope Oliver gets out of this mess!

Toyman-I really love Smallville's version and I loved the reveal of the fake Winslow being the bomb, classic Toyman move. The actor is really great in the part.

Tess-She kicked a$$ in this episode. I loved her scene with Oliver and how she went from caring to cold when Oliver pretty much wouldn't open up to her. Cassidy was solid. Also her last scene with Toyman was pretty badass and I loved how Tess when Toyman to reactivate Metallo. Good twist!:yay:

The reflection of Lex-Creepy!:wow:

The cinematography/SFX-Again, really awesome this year! We got superstrength, heat vision, superspeed, x-ray vision, super-hearing/mind-reading all from Clark in one episode. That hasn't happened for a while now!

More location shots-WHOOOOOOOO!!!:woot:

The Bad:

The use of Lois-I felt Lois was downplayed and was only used for comic relied. Yeah, the mind-reading scenes with Clark were prett funny, but wanted more from Lois. I wanted to see her out there getting the story, not reduced to the punch line. But the first and last scene with Clark had that Clois magic as usual!:woot:

Chloe-Besides helping Clark getting those people out of Ace of Clubs, she really is becoming pointless this season and she got all jealous of Lois again! Ehw!:o

Clark knocking out that hostage-That was messed up! He just assumed that was the bad guy. But I'm assuming that was the mistake Jor-El was talking about that triggered the mind-reading ability, so not too big...

You know, there was nothing really wrong with this episode, no real plot holes to speak of. In fact, I think the last 3 episodes had more plotholes than "Echo", but why do I like them more than "Echo". Overall, this was good episode! We're 4 for 4 guys! Next Week, Roulette! She's looking good...:cwink:

Yea as i said good episode, i agree a few small faults but i think BQM did another well episode. I would put it up there with his others.

Decent episode. Better than last weeks. I loved the reflection of Lex in the glass. Clark and Lois had some great moments.

oh yea that whole ollie seeing himself turning into lex was wicked.

one of the best parts was Lois saying she wears a thong
