One of the best episodes so far this, everything just seemed spot on, finally a rival to Ollie who gives him not only a challenge but a genuine beating from which he was lucky to escape, and then the revelations at the end as well.

Cant wait for this to come back on already.

You guys may be right. He may "be" the associate as well as himself, in which case when Ollie said the archer was working for someone, and thats who he's going to take down, it just means Ollie assumes two people.

I wouldn't rule out another person involved though either.. this show is providing plenty of twists, even if some are kinda predictable.

I do wonder if Barrowman and Salmon are going beyond this season though, they are both listed as guest stars, and Barrowman has his own cabaret shows and that here while Salmon is pretty much a Hollywood celebrity now. I think they are both doing a really top job tbh, Salmon has really grown on me as Walter and I've never seen Barrowman as the bad guy before, it works.

Maybe my recollection is wrong bit wasn't the associate he mentioned the one who was supposed to kill Oliver? Except he himself went about the task. Maybe he's got a split personality?

Or, I'm just remembering it wrong. :D

Yeah that's what I was thinking aswell. I thought maybe he doesn't want people to know he's the Dark Archer.

I liked this episode. I wasn't surprised that Merlyn was Tommy's dad. Good episode so far, though I'll miss Colin Salmon.

Why where's he gone?

He was taken by the "organisation" no? But he's alive so hopefully he will be back sooner than later.

In all honesty, while the actor probably has other committments that stop him being a full on cast member, I think they should use him as often as they can because he's playing it great and the character has a lot of ways it can go.

That's Colin Donnell.

My thoughts are that the people who are behind the list are the same people that trained Merlyn. Like he said towards the end of the episode that a lot of people are going to die in 6 months.
Seeing how there are a good amount of Nolan's Batman similarities I would not be surprised at all if they brought in The League of Shadows or League of Assassins, and they are responsible for the list.

Yeah, the 'Dark Archer' and the 'mysterious organisation' give off an impression that is very much 'League of Shadow'. Especially with Malcom Merlyn's (admittedly vague) description of their plans. It does seem like they've been lifted from Batman Begins a bit. It's still a great show however.

And don't forget that Merlyn is part of the League of Assassins in the comics.
