Saphira looks pretty cool, and I like the cities in the background.

Me thinks the Star Wars Episode III trailer didn't come out til March, 3 months before it came out.
We still have 4 more, so probably next month.

found this pic on comingsoon as well.

Eragon looks pissed!

yeah, And that wasn't even the 360 version!
It looks alot like God of War, because of some of the moves he did.

Seriously are the books worth a read? I tried reading one and couldn't get into it.

The posters look cool though.

DUH!!!
This when he uses Brisingr.
To the above poster.
It does take some getting into, but once you get to about the journey, It's a pretty fun read.

I enjoyed the book a lot, and I'm looking forward to the movie. Now I just need to read the 2nd book!

I don't know...I could see this film either being huge like LOTR (not quite that big, but close) or being a total flop like Dungeons and Dragons

As Thursday continued on with no word of the teaser trailer for Eragon we were forced to assume the worst. It turns out our assumptions were right, the trailer has been delayed again.

Eragon Teaser Trailer Delayed

Both Chris and Joel have alerted us to an announcement up at Shurtugal. According to the fansite, Fox has decided to delay the Eragon trailer again in order to improve upon the CGI dragon Saphira for public viewing. This turns out to be the same reason they have given every time. How hard is it to make a dragon? We saw one in Dragonheart and Goblet of Fire and they looked sweet; the non-talking one in Goblet of Fire would be my preference though.

Here is my two cents, something I have hinted at repeatedly and only today discussed with Joel.

20th Century Fox, though claiming that they were placing all their efforts to make Eragon the next big fantasy adventure, was ill prepared for the film's, or should I say book's, fanbase. Personally, I think Fox was originally planning on delivering a half-ass fantasy adaptation this December. But, now that they have been convinced that Eragon has Potter potential, they are adding to the budget, which will go directly to editing and CG work.

Tough I don't have any specific base on this point, I believe (maybe predict is a better word) they are currently re-doing some CG work to make it better in hopes of lifting the caliber of the film.

Again, just my two cents.

On a happier note, I will be meeting with a Fox person tonight and (hopefully) gain a new connection out of it. By doing so, maybe we can get some exclusives and inside details on what is really happening behind the scenes for Eragon.

Seriously though, the film is due out in December and we don't even have a teaser trailer for it yet.

And what am I doing?

You're doubting it already and you havent seen any footage.

I know the delays are frustrating but you have to hold out some hope that it will be good.

I saw some footage about sets and it didn't amaze me.

You can say everything, but this movie really doesn't look right.

This trailer didn't impress me and I am even more now negative about it.

We were waiting the whole year to see just this.

Yes, this is bad quality, but even with HD trailer looks crappy.

:down

They really aren't going to pull out all the stops for a movie based on a novel written by a kid.

That's just how I view this whole thing.

Need to see a HQ version before saying to much but the Dragon effects look good

Is it wrong to watch a film based on a book without having read the book before hand?
