Thank you gentlemen for posting this information. I played it safe and created a new E-mail for PS3. As far as the freezing goes, I think it maybe true because my Killzone 2 froze yesterday while i was playing online...

I've experienced freezing while playing MK plenty of times, already. And that started after I installed the 3.61 update. I thought it was a problem with my connection, because when I disconnect, it doesn't happen.

I've been having the freezing problems with MW2. at first I thought it was my connection but it crashed during an offline match. But I checked the disc and it was dirty, after cleaning it was fine offline. I've yet to try online yet, but I assumed it was an issue with 3.61 because it was fine before.

had a freeze while playing lego POTC. haven't seen anything about an e-mail change though.

this whole thing gets more fubared as it goes along

Now that you guys mention it, I have had 3 freezes when playing Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions. I just figured that was the game though; it has bugs everywhere (pun not intended).

Ive had Resistance 1 freeze on me upon start up. I have to turn the PS3 off from the back and then it works the second time

MW2 was fine for me today, although the ps3 locked up and restarted itself when I cancelled a sign in into the network.

Really? Heavy Rain froze up on me twice in the past few days. It was after I downloaded the update. It turned off suddenly, too. Don't think it was overheating, because I don't remember it sounding loud.

I had no freezing or anything thank God!

I played FIFA 11, Uncharted 2 (Not online) & Batman: Arkham Asylum

Is Sony aware of the freezing/crashing?
Did they speak anything, if so?

Nah, I don't think so. I didn't even think there was an issue until the Rockstar thing. Even when it suddenly beeped and shut off and had two freezes with Heavy Rain, I just thought it was acting up or something. Didn't even think it could be the update. Still not fully convinced it is.

But, considering I'm not the only one whose had some problems...I don't know anymore.

I've been playing Uncharted 2 online and ME 2 single player with no freezing problems. I haven't tried DC Online yet, but that game was always freezing my console. Part of the reasons why I stopped playing.

Barring any additional problems, Sony plans to bring the PlayStation Store back online next Tuesday, May 24, according to a memo sent to Sony's game developer and publishing partners.

Bought LA NOIRE Tuesday. ****ing thing keeps switching off my system after a certain amount of time. All my other games and films work fine, EXCEPT THIS ONE, so it's clearly not my system. Don't buy the game. Hell, I'm actually taking it back tomorrow to swap it out for a pre-order of the Balls Of Steel Edition of Duke Nukem Forever instead. Seriously, **** Rockstar Games and their incompitance with this situation. I've NEVER had this kind of problem with a game or seen such incompitant behavior from a developer in my entire life.

It's not the game, it's probably the 3.61 update.
Try this: disconnect from PSN, keep offline, then play the game.
It worked for me while playing MK.

I haven't experienced any freezing problems. So is it just with new games? That doesn't make too much sense. If it is the firmware update.
