The Dark Knight Everything Lachy Hulme (Merged X 8)

I agree 100%; and Hulme was born on April Fool's Day!!! That's the 'jokiest' day of the year!! He was BORN for the part, you could say :D

Yeah, and hopefully this time, he won't be carrying a boombox that constantly loops shytty Prince songs . . .
hey....I like Prince

his Batman 89 songs sucked bigtime but I like Batdance tho.

I like Prince too, but not the songs in Batman '89

um...no. I just think BB is waaay to serious.

Hmm...that could be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

And anyway, the art's amazing. I guess it's a good thing that I don't even see much of Hulme in them, I just see the Joker.

hmmmm.....thanks alot. I won't burn you 'cause you're a fellow SM fan.....

Ya know, fangrl06... Batman and Spider-Man are completely different characters. I love Spidey, too, but Batman is SUPPOSED to be serious. Spidey is a wise-ass and there is room for comedy in a Spider-Man movie. A Spider-Man movie that didn't have a few laughs in it would be way off the mark.

A Batman movie with the same number of laughs would be equally far off the mark.

There were plenty of little jokes "Batman Begins," but it was just about the right percentage where it didn't interfere with the seriousness of the movie. It's SUPPOSED to be serious.

Batman and Spider-Man are my two favorite heroes. And they could not be more different. Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins are three of my favorite movies. Each film pays its star character the proper respect.

Great post.

Yeah, you are right. I was just making a comparison. I still would like the director to tone it down.

The point is that Batman Begins wasn't even completely serious...

Well, with any luck... he won't. :D

Batman is Crime Noir with capes.

Funny . . . I also created a rendering much like that pic; I think that I likely used the same pic of Hulme for reference:

That does not look like a fan art of Hulme....

Looks way more like a fan art of Marylin Manson....

And the sad part is that that looks more like a portrait of Marylin Manson and not trying to make him look like The Joker..just changing the hair...

Complete seriousness is soooo boring.

Complete seriousness? Did you miss Alfred's wise-ass remarks? Bruce's goofball behavior to disguise the fact that he's Batman? How about the crown jewel: "Planning on gassing yourself again?" "Oh, you how it is, Mr. Fox... you're out at night looking for kicks, someone's passing around the weaponized hallucinogen..."

Hell, even Batman had his little quips... "Nice coat", "Excuse me."

How about the guard at the toll booth looking at his coffee when the Batmobile goes screaming by, wondering whether or not he's got decaf, and if there was in fact whiskey in his Irish Creme...

The jokes in Begins are funny, but they're sort of dry, and toned down, buried in this dark and moody world that Batman inhabits. That's as it should be.

Actually, that looks a hell of a lot like Hulme. If someone could find the referance pic, you'd see it.

I dunno what you're smoking, but it looks EXACTLY like Hulme... apart from the smile, of course...

Here is the latest pic of Hulme if anyone wants to weave their magic.
Hulme.jpg

It's from a movie called Macbeth coming out in June (In Australia).

edit - Sorry Photobucket has shrunk the image. I'll try and find a way of putting it up bigger.

Some very nice art for Hulme....would be even better if it was art of Paul Bettany of course, but nice art all the same :D

DV8 there's no such thing as a shytty Prince song.

Yeah, but there's no such thing as a Prince song that goes well with Batman :o
