No, I believe he's actually a pretty big guy. He's like 6'3" and muscular. It's better than short and fat Nicholson Joker, if you ask me.

And the sad part is that that looks more like a portrait of Marylin Manson and not trying to make him look like The Joker..just changing the hair...

I actually think that Marilyn Manson is the kind of freakish tone that Joker should emulate. I think it's that crazy eye that makes you think 'Manson'; anyhoo, here's the pic I used as reference:

I agree . . . he's a big guy . . . I like that he's big, but I think he needs to get more tone . . . how ironic? Christian Bale only weighed like 100lbs. trying out for Batman, and Hulme is like 220 trying out for Joker . . . "irony can be ironic sometimes"
