Bethesda Fallout 4

Eh, I think I'm going to put this away for a little while. I'm just not really feeling it right now, maybe when I come back later I'll feel a little differently, maybe just start over from scratch.

I've actually been pretty addicted to this game. I'm having a hard time putting it down.

I've come to the same conclusion. Played about 15-20 hours and that was forcing myself to play. It's been a fairly big "meh" for me. Haven't played in about two weeks. Don't see myself playing in the near future.

Playing New Vegas again, and having a fantastic ride with it. I'd been talking about how it remains the superior game, but I'd really forgotten just how much better it was. Craftable ammo, unique weapons, different ammo types, speeck checks galore, different quest paths and the interconnected factions that play off one another, it's astounding Obsidian could do so much with so little time.

I'm usually in a power suit or BOS gear but when I'm out on non-bos missions, I love that my character looks like Mad Max with the Road Leathers outfit, clean shaven and black hair, he looks even more Badass with the Pocketed Leather Chest Piece and goggles that look like sun glasses!

Driveble vehicles like at least a motorcycle would have been cool too but oh well, still great.

That's awesome! Though I completely disagree about having vehicles. A mount might be cool, but I think cars/motorbikes etc should be kept well away. Post a pic of your character if you can!

I've been slowly growing my character's hair. He began with very short hair and beard, now his beard his quite long and his hair is has grown out considerably too.

I might give him the Lone Wanderer or Outdoors Man beard again.

A mount would be fine like a horse or at least that thing that most traders have (although a but faster)

You can get a working car in Fallout 2 so it isn't like having a car would be something new to the series.

I admit I'm feeling the same way.

something about the story and setting that's not really grabbing me - certainly not to the extent that Skyrim and DAO did.

I think it has to do with my preference for fantasy settings with magic powers and swords and armor and such. or else a sci fi setting like Star Wars or Mass Effect where you have superhuman abilities ( Force/Biotic powers ).

I haven't stopped playing since launch.. And I've yet to beat the story.

This game has really been getting it's hooks on me lately. I'm trying my best to wait until my break next week, but even just trying to do one little side missions takes me on a 3 hour detour where I can't even remember what I was originally trying to do.

But I did have an awesome moment last night, where I had just fought through a whole bunch of Super Mutants during the Gilded Grasshopper mission, and I barely survived and barely had any ammo left, but after looting everyone once the dust had cleared, I couldn't carry anything else and neither could my companion, so I was forced to head to the nearest place I had unlocked, which was Goodneighbor. It was so tense as I was trying to slowly work my way to the entrance while it's super dark outside. I eventually came across a group of Synths and barely got out of that alive. By the time I got to Goodneighbor, I felt so nervous and stressed, as though I were personally there walking through some dark streets with little chance to survive. It was awesome.

I finally got the main story over with and can now just focus on side quests and building a community at Sanctuary Hills. I'm so hooked on this game!

I wish you could name the random Settlers. Fallout 4 needs a settler management tab in the Pipboy anyway, but just being able to name the Settlers would be a huge help all by itself.

Agreed, A settler management tab in the pipboy would be a fantastic dlc update but I doubt it'll happen. I moved my settlement to the castle but I suck at building and getting importing things going and so I'm waiting to become allies with Bunker Hill to just send my people there lol.

If you fail going to a settlement mission, can you get it back? I think I took too long in not going to help one or two and I got a litte pop up message saying I failed

So what did it win?

Our undying love.

Incidentally I feel like a lot of the people who have dropped off recently will return once (if) mods become available on the consoles, and mod support comes to PC. I think the modders will be able to make some great improvements, I'm looking forward to the ones that just upgrade or add little things -like being able to name settlers or something- stuff that might not show up in DLC.

I can't seem to get away form this game. I have a bunch of games I want to try out, including Witcher, Arkham Knight and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, but every time I stop Fallout and try to play another game, I find myself quitting after 20 minutes and trying a different game. After an hour of this, I end up right back in Fallout.

I'm not quite sure how to check how many hours I've put in, but judging from my last save file, I think it adds up to about 75 hours I haven't even finished the first act.

I'm pretty much the same, I play a whole lot of Star Wars Battlefront too but this edges it out a bit

I put in about 80hrs, and then I had to move on. I beat it, and I'll play it again, once the mods start showing up on X1. I have so many games to get to. But I loved this game.

If you don't want it, I'll take it. :o
