By creating the wonderful DCAU and putting a near perfect interpretation of Batman and the JL on our television screens, Timm earned the right to make whatever adjustments he finds appropriate to the classic source material.

Not only has Trank not earned our trust, but we haven't gotten the FF in all its glory (unlike Timm's Bats and JL) on the big screen. That's a big reason why Trank's "contemporary reimagining" is so unwelcome.

This!

What Bruce brought to Batman and the DCU, is something not even remotely like anything the F4 have been given.... his DCU was perfection. it's perfectly fine for him to take that and completely twist it on its head now.

How much FF commercials has anyone been seeing?

I haven't even seen a commercial for Orange Crush.

I think people might have been more amenable to Trank's unusual spin on this if he had some real credentials under his belt. Nolan was well established as a respected director by the time he took on the Batman franchise and made it his own and so people were more easily won over. With Trank's flippant attitude towards canon and fandom and all this crap talk about "his vision" it's like: who the hell are you again? And then you got MBJ telling us we're "just gonna see it anyway". It's the pinnacle of *****ebaggery and an utter turn off.

I haven't seen any television spots on an actual television broadcast yet, and I also haven't seen the Crush cans in my area (I checked a few stores, too).

i saw the women's soccer cross promotion ad on tv and i saw a twelve pack of orange crush with the promotion as well. there will probably be more tv spots once the third trailer comes out.

Fox has pulled their previous Fantastic Four films from digital platforms. Sources claim that this is to avoid having audiences confuse those films with this one.http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/fox-yanks-fantastic-four-films-801283

Not that this is realistic or anything, but... wouldn't it be interesting if this was really being done because the film rights (including distribution of previous films) are transitioning to another studio? :para: :para: :para:

It isn't.

BUT WHAT IF IT WAS?! :p

With today's Bernthal casting announcement, two of the four characters confirmed to have reverted by Feige in May of 2013 (Frank, GR, DD, Blade) are now official members of the MCU. And with Dr. Strange scheduled for next year, the other two likely wont be far behind.

Which gives me a lot of hope that the FF won't be on the shelf too long after Marvel regains the rights post FFINO.

Such a great casting decision.

And Punisher is going to fit in so well with this version of Daredevil and hopefully Jessica Jones and future Luke Cage and Iron Fist shows.

Maybe we'll even get a Punisher netflix show!

Man the possibilities are endless.

It just amazes me how Marvel is connecting what seems to be a really big universe together. You have the "big" heroes like the Avengers who get all the world wide recognition while you have the "little" guys like Daredevil and the Punisher running around while the magically and mystic side hasn't been touched yet.

And it's coming baby, it's coming! Dr. Strange, Iron Fist! It's gonna kill.

I've been thinking today that if Marvel were to make a deal to get the FF back, they might use them in an Inhumans sequel or do a Fantastic Four/Inhumans movie. Punisher's been done a few times already, and his first MCU appearance will be as a supporting role in another character's project. The FF have, similarly, been done a few times.

Nah man. Save them for Phase 4! I've said this previously but I really think this is the right way to go. It's poetic.

Have them usher in Phase 4 and be the ones the US Government send into space after Infinity Wars. Gov want a piece of the space pie and they've been vetting a group of four led by a super genius ever since the New York invasion.

And Inhumans isn't until 2019 anyway, and I'd want to see them way earlier.

Phase 4 being Fantastic Four themed would be awesome (FF kicking it off with Galactus or old school Secret Wars as the end cap)... but that would put them showing up in 2019 or later anyway. Phase 3 runs up through summer 2019.

OH. That's ALL Phase 3? Well damn. I thought Phase 4 started with Ragnarok.

****. Wellllll...yeah Phase 4 would still be totally doable, just much later than I thought.

I hope I don't offend anyone who is looking forward to this film but I plan on sitting this movie out because I feel FF would do better and feel better in the mcu. Is that wrong of me?

Not at all, friend! There are many of us.

None at all. Not even posted onto YouTube either

There are those hilarious SEE THE MOVIE IN TWO MONTHS 30 second clip rehashes of footage we've already seen though.

There's no way I'm seeing this until the DVD/Blu-ray release.

I'm going to be at my sisters in Dallas when this comes out, so it will be up to them if they want to see it or not, they probably will.
