thats the same guy who leaked some very vague stuff about the next trailer. he mentioned the thing in action, doom in action, etc. i also don't think he works for fox because he always drops things about films from a lot of different studios.

Yeah. I started following him because of his BvS tweets.

Btw your username reminds me of the way young Charles Xavier says "Your Future" in DOFP. lol. I am guessing that is what you are referring to?

yep!

Yeah... we just heard from the composer recently that he was still working on the music. Willie's right. Any of these claims of seeing test screenings are likely false or people that are seeing an unfinished version. It can't be the final version if the music isn't done.

Since they're still wirking on the music, anybody who has seen anything likely works for Fox. It's a little difficult to get an objective opinion from someone on Fox's payroll.

As true as the second sentence may be, it's only relevant if the first one is true. As with most things in this thread, a false premise.
For example a crap ton of people watch screenings with temp music, mad max being one of the most talked about almost a year back.
Unfinished effects, dialogue etc. It's in a way the point. Get eyes on it early and make changes.

Just saying, this seemingly keeps happening here imo.
I feel in almost any other section, I wouldn't have to be the one posting this info.

What movie's tone and creative direction does this remind you of that failed with the GA?

Dark and edgy sci-fi, minimal humor and spectacle, no 3d which international audiences crave. Combined with the subdued marketing and August release date it makes me wonder where are the attempts to capture the GA's attention.

So i think its safe to say what director the one reviewer said "wiuld likely never work a big budget hollywood franchise again. .. jurassic world was easily the funnest ride ive had this year on film. .. no way was the reviewer talking about Colin...

JW is no masterpiece though... It felt like a high-budget B-movie.

It didnt need to be oscar. Calibur... it was fun, and there's not so much you can do but poke fun at some aspects of a franchise thats been done to death.. this film was easily the best out of the sequels.

Regardless, it was a fun enjoyable movie. And i actually enjoyed it more then age of ultron even

I'm sure screenings are fine. I've said since day 1 that this will probably be a modest hit in the same way Chronicle was a modest hit. This will definitely be bigger than Chronicle, but I think it will be received about as well critically.

You are missing the point. Do you think Colin will never work in hollywood again? Because JW assures that he definitely will. And considering that Trank lost his Star Wars gig, it's clear he was the one that was hinted at in the podcast.

The guy let me follow him. He seems legit so far. I'm hoping he's right. If somehow this film works, I'll take back everything I said about Josh Trank. He may very well be sort of like James Cameron where the productions are always troubled and he's incredibly hard to work with but he gets results.

I can guarantee you now most directors are hard to work with. All crazy and highly strung trying to get out their vision. I'm sure every actor has an issue on set with a director and there's always a bit of drama behind the scenes. This production just seemed to have it and it got out everywhere. Look at David O. Russell guy is nuts and he's still working. He's had punch ups with actors and his movies are always amazing.

Mad Max: Fury Road fits your description

Which websites? Have they been to screenings. I have seen 3 screening reviews and all are ridiculously positive. Plus Gabriel Gray is touting it.

Okay, I followed Gabriel Gray and read through his tweets and I don't see anything indicating he saw the movie. I've also tried numerous searches and haven't found anything "ridiculously positive".

At this moment, I think the most I've seen has been the post from the person on here who claimed to have seen it (without any proof or real detail) and even that account seemed positive but not at all over-the-top.

If you have links from people who don't work for Fox who have offered anything credible to indicate they've actually seen it and any details, I'd be very interested. I'm having trouble finding anything more than extremely vague and questionable comments.

I do remember this:

But a second-hand report of an unsubstantiated claim from an unknown source with absolutely no details is about as meaningless as anything could possibly be.

Collin himself confirmed that he's not going direct JW's sequel and he doesn't appear to be attached to anything similar in budget and scope as JW.

So that definately means he'll never work on a big budget film ever?:funny:

That means it's not conclusive. JW is pretty much the usual paint-by-the-numbers, committee film-making as of late.

I'm speechless... he wasn't kicked off a star wars gig, so it's probably not him Pavlov.

Collin(director of JW) will work in Hollywood again but he learned from his experiences. Like Trank that being the director on big budget franchises is good for your career but not everything its cracked out to be. These guys are young and hungry chopping at the bits for anything. They get on these projects there they find out that studios really want far more control then they ever imagined and because they aren't Tarantino's or Spielberg's of the world. They often times get overuled or just rolled over in many decisions. It's a lot of money being thrown into these films so I understand it but the result too often is movies like JW and the Amazing Spinderman 2. Where everything is give and tug with the final result sometimes being quite messy like the ASM2 or near mindless popcorn flicks like JW. Not every movie needs deeper meanings but sometimes its nice to have them.

Well none the less, his movie was the first movie to break a 500mil opening weekend ... no way in hell is he not going to have a hard time finding directing gigs...

And im pretty confident this may cement chris pratt as the new will smith
