Johnny looks like he has speakers on his suit.:lmao:

Is that poster real? Look at the Thing's legs!!

I think it is fanmade...

Is there a higher resolution version of this? Something tells me in this case bigger is funnier.

At least they managed to find a different picture of Kate Mara. Although the lighting in the picture is all over the place and the less said about the Thing's legs the better.

Some F4 promotion I found on twitter:

I actually like this one. They made character-themed donuts instead of just slapping promo images on their boxes and cups. At least there's some creativity going on there even if it is a bit ... odd of a partnership (Fox makes strange promo deals imo -- I remember thinking DoFP had some oddballs too).

So that tagline: "Younger. Cooler. Smarter. Edgier." That's obviously a comparison to something. Their comic counterparts? The Avengers? Scotch tape?

The Story films.

Nice of Sue to just put a forcefield bubble around herself. Doesn't she realize with her beau all bungeed up, he can't stretch to save himself?

actually, for what it's worth.. the fire effect on johnny is pretty good, but the costume is not.

I do prefer johnny to look like a man on fire, more so than a man turned into fire

Unfortunately it's not. It's from an Empire Magazine article (scroll half-way down the page).

http://www.empireonline.com/magazine/

But I've made that same mistake several times when we've seen various photos pop up: "That can't be real. It looks like something somebody pasted together in their mom's basement."

. . . only to find out it was real.

The Story films.

Here's the funny part. When they shot the first Story film in 2004, Chris Evans was 23, Ioan Gruffudd was 31, Jessica Alba was 23, and Michael Chiklis was 41.

MBJ is 28, Jamie Bell is 29, Miles Teller is 28 and Kate Mara is 32.

The average age of the Story cast was 29.5.

The average age of this cast is 29.4.

These casts are basically the same age. They keep selling this film as hipper and younger when all they've really done is made Reed and Ben too young and Johnny and Sue too old.

It's obvious to anyone who is paying attention that they're making the same film they did 10 years ago, but they're using smoke and mirrors to try to sell it as something drastically different.

It doesn't matter. All these actors LOOK a lot younger than their counterparts in Tim Story version.

It's sadly real. I don't want to hear the word, "edgier" with the FF. They aren't Deadpool. They aren't Batman. They aren't Daredevil. They're not edgy characters.

The words I want to hear to describe the FF are: sci-fi, wonder, exploration, horror, adventure, physics, family, danger and team.

Edgy is something I associate with street level anti-heroes. The FF are character driven sci-fi action-adventure with super powers tacked on. Superhero isn't a genre, it's a character archetype. The Fantastic Four are closer to Alien or Godzilla than they are to The Dark Knight.

Jesus. Hilarious.

All this younger/edgier/hipper ******** pisses me off. It's so cringe-worthy.

Superficial.

Just like this entire production.

Sure. But people are just mixing up the actor/actress with the character they are playing.

The characters in Tim Story version have all had an established career unlike the new characters.

The last mention of FF on Simon Kinberg's Twitter - April 19th.

Damn it Marvel. Loosen your grip on the man's throat and let him Tweet something.

Bastards.

Fox also didn't bother showing the Sentinels for DOFP until a month before release. Their marketing department is abysmal. Compare that to the other major studios, particularly Disney and Lions Gate who really know how to hype a film.

The only one who clearly looks younger is Michael Chiklis vs. Jamie Bell.

Ioan Gruffud Didn't look much older than Miles Teller does now (better looking, yes, but not older):

Guess there is difference of opinion then.

Personally everyone in the next movie looks younger except for Sue Storm. They both look around the same age. It is not easy to guess a woman's age, they look a lot younger even when they are actually old unlike guys.

as much as i hate this new film..

i do gotta say you're wrong on this one...

Chicklis and Gruffud looked late 30s - mid 40s, and chris and jessica looked mid-twenties to late 20s...

they all looked older than they were, this cast all has baby faces compared to the last cast... superficial or not it's true.. and a major reason i dislike this film

My understanding is that the characters in the movie are being portrayed at a younger age than in the Story films, not the actors playing them necessarily.

What ages would that be? Because none of them look younger than what their ages actually are.

I am assuming high school age at least part of the time, based partly on Ben playing baseball (unless colleges use yellow buses?).
