Well they've basically disbanded the FF so the characters appear in comics, but the family is broken.

Atleast Secret Wars, which is Marvel's big 2015 event and rocking the sales is actually a Dr. Doom story vs. Reed Richards, and it also has Ultimate Reed Richards! Which the movie has adapted. :b

It's a good story. Some people are saying it could be the FF's swan song since Marvel has no plans to bring the family together anytime soon. They've been split up and integrated into things like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans. The properties that Marvel actually cares about.

Don't forget that everyone is an Avenger now! Deadpool included! Though if Deadpool the movie becomes a success.... RIP to that character, am i right?

I hope when FF becomes a box office hit Marvel decides to release an UFF Omnibus.

I don't know man. I think Disney wants all the characters back under one roof but I think they've made peace with the Xmen being at Fox. F4 NEEDS to be at Disney.

They're still using the characters.

Every one of them is moving to a book that has an MCU adaptation, but they're still using them. (Ben's going to be a Guardian of the Galaxy, Johnny's making out with Medusa in an Inhumans book, etc.)

I don't know the context, I've just seen a preview image. One can only assume Johnny is now being written by a former adult film writer. I look forward to the Inhuman comic where Johnny delivers a pizza to the Daughters of the Dragon.

It's possible Deadpool has a different arrangement that benefits Marvel more. Fox didn't get that character until years after the rest of their X-Men characters (Deadpool used to be a separate contract held by New Line). Spidey didn't get snubbed due to the contract benefiting Marvel plenty.

Of course, we don't have much info on Deadpool's deal, so he could well be screwed.

Yeah it looked good (although I'm still not sure about it as I tend to find Snyder to be a pure style over substance Director) but it was definitely impressive. The Suicide Squad leak looked interesting too (what could be seen on the crappy phone video).

We pretty much knew going in that Star Wars and Batman v Superman were going to be the talk of the con. Everything else is basically competing for third. We'll see how it fares soon...

Actually, it's that Marvel and Fox renegotiated the terms of the licensing agreements to be more favorable to Marvel but Marvel still pays a good chunk of money to Fox. Odds are that Marvel is trying to force Fox to renegotiate yet again, particularly since Fox want X-Men TV rights and Marvel won't give Fox the greenlight unless they hand over any profit they make off merch and possibly plan an event film to merge universes. Marvel enjoy playing hardball and that's just how they do business. I expect that Marvel won't allow Universal to continue their theme park rides if they ever want to see a Hulk sequel.

No. Let's be real, if there's any superhero made for Disney, it's the F4. It's why people have so much confidence in them doing better at Marvel than with Fox. F4's tone is so Disney that it's not even funny. Fox would have been better off keeping Daredevil since they are so bent on being dark and gritty. The Incredibles is basically an animated F4 movie so no, I don't think Disney will ever have peace with F4 being at Fox.

Agreed! After seeing BvS trailer and the Joker in SS, I honestly understand why Marvel didn't come. Not saying they would have lost but with everything going on, what's the point? Give DC their night because man! Was it a night!! XM:A may have a chance, depending on how Apoc looks, DP will always be DP but I honestly don't think F4 has any chance at all of being remembered even though it's the closest movie to being released.

Thanks! I have a Twitter account but no clue how to actually use it. Last year there was some sort of feed (I think it was on the main Hype page) that had several people in the hall reporting live.

My wife is going to bed early for an early flight tomorrow, so I'll probably be bored by the time it starts.

Yeah saw SS trailer in LQ, it was still really good. But Batman is the real deal for me, I went freaking nuts a couple of times in the trailer when they showed Batman in action. My favorite scene is in my Avatar, that pose is straight out of the graphic novel.

No doubt about that. Glad Marvel pulled out, they didn't have much stuff to compete with SW and BvS/SS. I have low expectations for whatever they show tonight for FF compared to what WB just showed.

Here we are with the 2 people running this reboot (Trank and Kinberg) with 2 opposing opinions on 3D and you're asking us to make sense of it???

I don't know if this falls into the Toxic column but it's clearly ridiculous comments like these the spiral into chaos.
