Yeah me too. Sometimes I think a couple of you get cheques from Disney.

Jeez, pathetic to see people bashing the supporters just because they have hope the final product would be entertaining.

It's just vented frustration. I see it from both sides. I highly doubt he was referring to every person actually looking forward to the film. There are a couple of eyebrow raisers around here on that front but I just choose to ignore them. Don't take it personally.

Was just making the sure the guy knows how awful it feels to be accused of cashing cheques for simply supporting a movie that looks interesting.

I know some of you detractors have decent reasonings and make polite statements.

What looks interesting? The unfunny jokes, the dark hallways, the S&M costumes or the Kayne West song from half a decade ago? :cwink:

You must've never seen S&M costumes.

El-P scored the end credits for Fantastic Four, which was first broke by Joshua Trank himself on twitter. In their little twitter conversation El-P goes on to say and I quote "also: I saw the new fan 4 like 5 months ago and it's ****ing good. funny watching people be freaked out about it knowing this". He continued "put it to you this way: the new fan 4 makes the last fan 4 look like the fan 4 your little sister imagined when she was 4.". I don't know his music personally but maybe someone can enlighten to the merit of his work. Here is a link so you can see the exchange yourself. http://pitchfork.com/news/60338-el-p-scored-the-end-credits-for-the-new-fantastic-four-movie/

Cool. Hoping he's right.

The idea that if you aren't against the movie must mean you're paid by the studio is beyond ridiculous. There are lots looking forward to this, bet they're all on the take too :loco:

Lets keep our discussion to the movie, not individual posters please.

See here's the thing. I don't see the costumes as uniforms, I see them as the training wheel or whatever they are called. Considering I like how this movie focuses on struggling to control the powers, I don't have much expectations to see them in full uniforms.

 God forbid we actually like what we are seeing.

I think it's cool that you can look forward to this, but I never read a Fantastic Four comic book to watch a people training or learning to control their powers.

I read Fantastic Four comic books to see superheroes in amazing situations encountering creatures and villains like I had never seen before.

I read Fantastic Four comic books to see something fresh and new and different.

I've seen so many films of superheroes learning to use their powers it's about as dull and trite a topic for a film as I could possibly imagine.

I'm really eager to hear how the Comic Con crowd react to Trank, Kinberg and the cast.

This movie seems to have an affinity with food tie-ins. Here's one from Tyson/Walmart where you can get a ticket to see FF if you buy their products.

Also, i came across something cool that was done in France. Fox teamed up with FabClub in France and invited young geniuses and inventors to reveal their super powers during a FF "Summer Camp".Divided into 4 teams of 4, these young makers were responsible for thinking and constructing in record time an object that wpuld give them the 'powers' of the fantastic four. (More details and pics at the link provided)

True. This movie is taking a different approach than the Fantastic Four cartoons I grew up with. What can I say? I try to give everything a chance as long as there are hints that it could be entertaining. Probably because I go to the movies often as they are my escape from reality.

cyclops josh trank sure isn't acting like a director fired as some claimed.still tweeting and taking part in comic con.

if we are being paid by fox we sure must be bad employees not being wild on elektra, the previous FF films, last stand and origins.me paying to see winter soldier and AOU and you paying to see GOTG.you raving on GOTG and me puting winter soldier in my top 10 comic book films:woot:

He said the movie he worked on was good?

I'm shocked.

Also, who is El-P?

EDIT: I now know who El-P is, and I wish I didn't.

So wait...he says he saw the movie 5 months ago, around February, or enough of it to call it "****ing good." So...what was FOX waiting for in releasing more stuff, if they were showing it to 40 year old white rappers in February?

First trailer was released late January. And after that it was a drought of anything at all.

Huh.

I had the same thought about El-P before I actually heard his music. I saw a video for full ******ed and he has nice beat with catchy hook. Now I'm thinking he's not so bad.

He saw the movie when the sfx weren't done and he still liked it. I think that bodes well for the strength of the dramatic and comedic elements.

El-P has an odd choice of words to describe this.

There were a lot of 4's in it.

Cool. Hoping he's right.

I see it like this everyone whose claimed to see it has said nothing but positive things about it. So I think that is more encouraging than one isolated opinion.

The most memerizing thing about this thread is the capacity of the boosters to crawl back to their feet from any blow!
No matter what the news, the scandal, the evidence--they manage, like a cliched boxer from a movie, to get back on their feet, answer the bell and start throwing some wild haymakers!
This 3D cancellation and the obvious nonsense spouted by Kinberg back in thr day and Trank just now---will be be spun as positive.
So much effort has been put into defending this thing, well, surrender is unthinkable.
That's due to 60% denial, 40% spite

The Summer Camp thing is very cool! :woot:

Ah, Tyson Foods, smuggler of illegal aliens and employer of underage factory workers.

Tyson would be one of the sponsors for this thing. The chicken looks almost exactly like Thing's skin.

How awful it feels...? Good grief.

Think about this for a second, I it really more likely that Disney is paying 90 percent of the internet to hate this or that a radical departure from the comics that got nothing right, including casting, costumes and tone and takes nothing from the comic but the title in a cheap effort to keep the rights from Marvel is causing a backlash among fans of the Fantastic Four who want to see them on film?

On the other hand supporters of this film refuse to acknowledge the numerous problems going on with this film, both with the movie itself and behind the scenes. They've also given us such gems as

"Even if the movie is terrible I want it to be financially successful so it gets a sequel."

And

"I hope Fox plants people to cheer at Comic Con so it looks more popular."

It's easier to see how shill like these comments are than to see why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Whatever those outfits are, they look beyond ridiculous for any purpose that Trank may have dreamed up.
