That's all well and good, but leaping on people who have other perspectives isn't cool.
To be honest, I'm glad i wasn't following all that stuff. I had a few worries about the movie, wondered if they really could botch it up so much (in a time without Rothman and just after DoFP), then saw it, thought it was a misfire, and that was about it.
I then came in here to see what the latest rumours etc were about the future of the franchise. Yes, I'm debating in here and chiming in with my perceptions about social media, and my suspicion that Fox will leave it in cinemas as long as possible and not cut their losses immediately, but mostly I'm wondering how they screwed it up and what they will do next.
Well, you've come to the right place if you're wondering how they screwed up. I think that's been pretty well documented. I think the social media part is basically irrelevant unless you want to discuss the differences in a forum of this nature and twitter or facebook (but don't think this is the place for it).
The future of the franchise in Fox's hands is, IMO, pretty much zilch and whether the studio wants it in the theaters may not be relevant beyond any contractual agreements they have. Theater owners are going to want to get rid of FF asap because they want people to come and pay them money. When you look at a SH movie that is in danger of falling out of the top 20 (it has very similar box office numbers to a lot of the movies trailing it) in it's 4th week in release, you aren't looking at something that's long for the theater world. Ant-Man, for example, is at #8 in it's 7th week of release and will probably still be in the top 10 until the weekend after next. Which movie do you think the theater owners are going to give the most showings?
EDIT: I think the real question people are interested in here, as FF fans, is "Will Marvel get the FF back?"

I wanted to see the FF on screen so bad.......

Let that sink in.
