One could assume that when Ian gave Owen the necklace, he mentioend who's it was and that her old boyfriend was trying to get her back.

Something that I thought was weird. At the end of Fast 5 Eve Mendes character tells Hobbs that the pictures of Letty were taken a week ago in London. In Fast 6 Hobbs tells Dom the same thing, that the picture was taken a week ago. So it seems like the events of Fast 5 took place only a week or two ago during the opening of Fast 6. Also at the end of Fast 5, Mia is just begining to show her baby bump, at the start of Fast 6 she is giving birth so Fast 6 has to take place at least a few months later. Maybe this was a continuity error? Or maybe I am wrong ha?

This also brings up the question of why it took Hobbs so long to track down Dom and the crew if he knew Letty was with Shaw for a few months. Also, my friend said that you can see Jason Satham in Tokyo Drift when Han dies, has this been confirmed? Tokyo Drift is the only Fast movie I don't own but I will probably buy it now lol. Lastly, has it been offically confirmed that Jason Satham is indeed playing Saw's brother in Fast 7 or a different character?

There is no given time in Fast Five when Hobbs gets the Letty picture, so it could very well be right before Fast 6 starts. I always took it at the end of Fast 5 and the beginning of Fast 6 that Hobbs just doesn't care about Dom and his crew anymore. Especially once Shaw shows up, he's much more important to capture. No there is no Statham in Tokyo Drift.

He's not in Tokyo Drift, I find it hard to believe they had planned for this 3 movies away. And they way Lucas Black reacts to seeing Han's car explode it gives no indication that he notices someone come out of the car and walking past Han. You could say you don't see enough but near the end you see a civilian tending to a person in the car that T-boned Han.

So its a retcon.

True.

I'm in agreement about less angst in 7. Fast Five was a blast, but I was bored most of this film. I just don't give a **** about Letty...at all. The amnesia plotline, Dom's constant memory lane speeches, and the family BS just didn't click with me.

Han and by extension Giselle's story line is the only part of the franchise Ive ever really cared about. Not sure why, but Han's character has kept me coming back. Once they wrap up the Tokyo events and settle that plot line for good I'm probably out.

I am appalled that Justin Lin didn't give Han a happy ending.

Although I loved it, there was a little too much CGI in this film than in the past films. It got a little far fetched at times. May I just add Gina Carano is smoking hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suspect they were able to up the budget some due to it being an actual summer blockbuster flick, hence the CG.

Was the Asian guy the one from the Raid?

He and black guy in knit cap got flipped over in their car. White dude was the one who Han threw into the jet engine.

If you think about it, if it weren't for 2 Fast and Tokyo Drift, we wouldn't even have 5 & 6. I believe way back there were two scripts for the first sequel, one with Vin, and one without. Luckily, they couldn't agree on Vin's paycheck, so he and Rob Cohen bowed out and we got 2 Fast instead. THat gave us Roman and Tej. And of course, if 2 Fast wasn't considered a disappointment, we wouldn't have gone a different direction with TD, and gotten Han.

Funny how things work out. If we had gotten the first sequel with Vin, the franchise probably would be dead by now.

Very excellent point. A great reason why this franchise even made it to 4 was because of the anticipation to see Dom and Brian back together. The fact that some pretty likeable characters substituted for him along the way made it stretch even further to 7.

Makes me think they should do the same and maybe let Rock stay out of a movie or two to make his return hyped up.

I think vin diesel should have been cast in MOS with all the in-air flying he seemed to be doing in this movie haha.

I saw the movie for the second time this past weekend with a packed crowd. That midair catch of Letty always gets a huge reaction from the audience. Usually with people laughing or saying how unrealistic it is. When i saw it this past weekend, one guy shouted " O that's some bulls**t right there" which prompted a huge laugh from people in the theater lol.

Sorry! I double spoiler tagged it just in case. But to be fair, before the movie I was talking to my friend about how I had a bad feeling for that character to begin with. Figured most would get it too.

haha i managed to stay away since the 16th lol

i wasn't mad at you, just mad at myself for being so tempted. she was my favorite female character of the series. she was assertive and i felt like she was the only one who wasn't really defined by anyone else. Mia and Brian were connected since day 1 and letty and dom had been together since they were teens

thats the best part of this franchise. when you are in the theater and something over the top unrealistic s... happens you enjoy it with the crowd. everyone thinks its over the top and together you laugh more then in a comedy. its oldschool entertainment.i still can not belive how they jump. hahahah.

i remember this scene in 2011. the whole theater started screaming and laughing their ass of at the same time. how can you hate this? just how :woot:

I agree, but I absolutely hate when people try to crack jokes during a movie. If the movie is already funny, just let it be funny.

Yea that is true!

the worst part of me seeing this movie was my cousin sitting beside me on her phone for most of the movie

there were about 18 of us taking up the back row. and we all enjoyed it (except maybe the phone cousin but she didn't hate it, she just had never seen any of the others)

the FF franchise to me has always been a crazy, hyper reality, a little over the top group of films and characters, and that's never bothered me. I've been a fan since day one, seeing the first film probably 3 times in theatres and seeing everyone since on opening weekend. they're fun.

but side note, despite they're just being "fun" and not completely "realistic" movies, they've always had a good message that has remained consistent throughout that i can appreciate. family. loyalty. trust. they've always been the main themes since the first film

oh and i forgot to mention

really loved seeing the hints of drifting in this film, especially in Dom and Letty's race. really helped push to make Tokyo Drift seem to be more a part of the whole.

Just watched it and

It was AWESOME :) honestly better then Fast Five. Going again this weekend with my GF who has yet to see it.

Can't wait for 7

ill probably take my mom to see this later on in the week as she's actually a big fan of the franchise too lol

go mom

wasn't someone saying this would fizzle out after opening weekend?

Nobody wants to go see fast cars and giant explosions except stupid people, they said.
