Fast and the Furious 9: The Fast Saga

That's where it officially changed the series for me even though some might say Fast Five was the first film that switched the series.
You just know that Vin Diesel watched The Avengers and thought "This is what WE need to be doing!"

I didn’t mind 8 but it was kinda eye-rolling how all of a sudden a couple of psychopaths like the Shaw brothers were suddenly helping the good guys. Especially after 6, where we see Owen kill scores of people and 7 where Deckard murders his way through a hospital. If Deckard had only been trying to kill members of Dom’s crew, then that could have potentially led to him getting redemption because he was just trying to avenge his brother. But after some of the other stuff he does, it’s a bit of a hard sell to be like, “Oh, this guy is just misunderstood.”

The vault chase and the gun battle was memorable in Five

And then there was 6's car chase. I agree. Once they did that midair jump it crossed a line

I will give 8 credit for actual cars falling but when they all were bunched together it looked like bad CGI zombies clumped together

Haha the falling car scene was a new level of absurdity. Then they topped it with that tow truck/helicopter chase in Hobbs & Shaw. But it looks like they’re going to top BOTH of those with the magnet stuff in this one, lol.

I think F9 topped it with "car using a rope bridge as a swinging rope" that we got in trailer 1.

All I hear is "Please give us your money". Cheesy Lv. 100.

Vin! :D: in that footage Dom catches Letty with a car again, deflects a car with his arms and throws an armored transport at a stealth plane.

Fast Five was the one that expanded the scope of the teams adventures and the scale of the action sequences.

Hey, I love the push for "only in theatres" with that trailer. I never thought I'd say that for a Vin Diesel movie, but hell yeah!

Looking at the big box office for Godzilla vs Kong and Mortal Kombat (two films also available for streaming), this most likely will do giant numbers.

Over or under on Dominic saying "We're family/We got family" a dozen times in this film.

Did they reveal that Michael Caine will be in the movie as Shaw’s father?

He seems to be implying that.

Though, since he keeps teasing Dom's past, will we get a secret cameo for Dom's father? Stallone or someone!?

I was about to say, “Dom’s father is dead, isn’t he? So they would probably cast someone younger since scenes with his dad would be flashbacks.”

But then I remembered this is F&F. No one ever stays dead in this series. I bet the last scene of this movie is Dom’s long-dead father (played by Stallone, Schwarzenegger or a CGI amalgam of both of them) showing up and Dom realizing he faked his own death.

...as part of a Space Force experiment to explore Mars for alternative fuels, however Carter Verone's father had already eradicated these fuels and tampered with the Space Force capsule. Thus Mr. Torreto has been stranded on Mars for years. It was only when Jesse (yes that Jesse) used a combination of flubber and JP4 to rocket his VW Jetta to Mars to save Mr. Torreto and return him back to his deviant son, Dom.

We all thought Jesse met his fate on the Toretto residence sidewalk, but it was all part of the master plan to save Mr. Torreto.

Haha that is a deep cut. For a second I was like, “Wait, who is Jesse?” But yeah. He has to come back from the dead. So do the guys who killed him, one of which was Rick Yune. Hopefully he’ll return looking like an albino with diamonds stuck in his face, this merging the F&F and James Bond universes.

This starts dropping in cinemas 2 days from now (in some countries).

To those who see it first, will someone please put in spoiler tags how Han is explained to be alive :funny:
