I got my tickets for 7pm tonight. Was this planned?

Every other cinema in my area only has the first screenings at that hour. Lawd.

Yea I am seeing it Saturday night at CineBistro. I looked on Fandango and mostly all the 7pm and 8pm screenings for Tonight, Friday, and Saturday are sold out or close to being sold out in my area. This movie seems like it will kick off the summer blockbuster season a few weeks before Avengers does ha.

I was thinking of setting something up for tonight but I think my friends want to aim for tomorrow night.

I'm curious to hear about IMAX impressions. Is this something to see in IMAX. If it is, I'd have to make the little trip to SF instead to go see it which is no biggie but if I don't need to see it in IMAX I'm fine with the normal theater closer.

Saturday? Saturday? Ya'll ain't no fans. :argh:

Gonna shave my head and show up dressed like Tyrese from "2 Fast 2 Furious". THAT'S a superfan.

I don't have work tomorrow so I'll be checking it out.

My girlfriend always have joked for 3 Halloweens...

I'd be Fast, she'd be Furious, and our cat would would be Tokyo.

Elsa is in it but it is only a cameo. As I remember, she only appears in two scenes but she looks very pretty with short hair.

The Rock mostly appear in the start and the final.
Thank you very much.

One thing that disappointed me is that
Deckard Shaw is not as deadly as we hope he would be.

Statham plays the character cool but I was expecting him to dominate the fight with the Rock and Vin. It is quite disappointed to see him losed both the fight.

Just got back from the movie. It's ****ing awesome. More elaborate action set pieces, more incredible fist fights. Statham and Kurt Russell are welcome additions to the franchise.

The way they handled Paul Walker's character was great. Everyone clapped when the "send-off" was over.

Does his send off mean no more Miss Brewster?

it's a load of bollocks, Shaw is an ex SAS assassin but he can't beat Dom, ********!!

I can see the Rock winning, because it's the ****ing Rock....training or not you're more or less punching and kicking a brick wall. Dom I figure is more of a pragmatist and fights kinda dirty.

To be fair, Dom doesn't beat Shaw by himself. He got help from... an explosive friend.

SAS training doesnt add mass to Shaw. Both Dom and The Rock outclass Shaw in weight and mass. Two things that can change the outcome of a fight. And SAS are no doubt very dangerous and capable soldiers but they arent supermen or GI Joe. They are special forces. And like the US Navy Seals they are trained to endure a lot, but they arent trained to be hand to hand combat gods. Most of their (SAS) training involves long marches cross country and deprevation and how to push themselves and their bodies beyond the breaking point without actually breaking. So Shaw's training means he would be incredibly tough or tougher than most people but his training did not impart supernatural strength or godlike combat skills upon him.
