Yup the story in this was pretty bad. A proper send off to Paul Walker's character though. I mean, they were warned that Statham's character was ruthless and strikes from the shadows, but in the middle of the story they were sidetracked into two heist action scene wherein both were joined by Statham. Doesn't really strikes from the shadow at all.

I just think it's showing that he has connections within the Government so he get to his targets, so when/if the new movie comes along and he's amazingly got out of that high tech prison, don't be surprised if they let on that he had inside help. He would have had to have inside help the whole time just to get access to Dom during those other scenes.

How were the theater crowds for you guys? My theater ate this movie up and loved it, you could tell by the "oooh's" and "aaah's" and uproarious laughter during the comedic scenes. At the end everyone applauded. I personally love theater experiences like that, it really enhances the movie as a whole for me.

Yeah same for me. Everyone had fun including most importantly.. me!

I don't go to theaters much anymore and one major reason is because certain type of people that I just can't stand

I accepted the ott,illogical and story issues since 4. The franchise is an all out action fest popcorn early blockbuster MOVIE. The movies are set in the real world but luck/miracles happen all the time and ultimate badasses exist.

Deal with it,ignore the franchise from now on or go back to 1-3. If you went to see this expecting a great script and logic after 4-6 then you are dumber than what you think this action movie has.

I thought the movie was good enough though it could have been better. Basically they tie two different plot lines into one. While it works for the most part, it still feels uneven at times. Mostly having Jason Satham's character just pop up to cause chaos and disappear again until the next big action scene, kinda like the Winter Soilder. There are times like in the other movies were you have to turn your brain off because otherwise you will laugh at how people survive some of the crazy things happening. Anyway, the movie is a good send off/ tribute to Paul Walker / Bryan at the end. I am not gonna lie, I got a little emotional.

I did feel like Paul's death did impact the story. It feel like Bryan was just a side character/ background character this time around as the movie focus more on Dom and other characters.There wasn't even that much interaction between Dom and Bryan through out most of the run time. Even with my small gripes the movie is still a blast to watch. And like I said its a soild end to not only Paul Waker's Bryan but to the entire Fast and Furious cast. I feel like its a mistake to continue making more entries considering how this movie ended.

Well it is what it is: It's the Bro version of the Avengers. But it's never to the point where it's completely low class like Transformers 2/3/4, where it's a kids movies with suggestive themes.

As a guy I didn't mind too much lol. But yea it did become kinda distracting with all the low angle girl booty shots. For a second I thought I was watching a Micheal Bay Fast and Furious movie ha. Honestly, I am suprised he was never approached to direct a Fast movie. These movies fall under his style of filmmaking really. But then again, maybe that's for the best!

The thing is that, with Michael Bay, he's a lot more nihilistic and sociopathic with his sort of films. Or the MODERN Michael Bay. As fun as Bad Boys 2 and Pain and Gain were, they were very mean spirited films with a lack of self-awareness. At least the FF movies kinda has this strange optimistic tone to them. They're so dumb (full circle) that they're awesome, and the filmmakers know that.

I was a bit disappointed in Tony Jaa's role. I mean he did great but I was waiting for him to do one of his signature moves where he runs and jumps onto a guy's chest using a knee or both. I also really wanted to see him go at it against Hobbs or Statham

Not quite as good as Fast Five, but a little bit better than Fast & Furious 6. The ending is so poignant and perfect that it's hauntingly beautiful and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. The ending is so perfect that I wish the series ended after this and we get a Luke Hobbs spin-off in its place. But we won't. BTW, I'd definitely recommend seeing this in IMAX.

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm glad this seems to be getting a huge boost from Paul Walker fans, sort of like the Dark Knight did for Ledger. If this thing gets 150M or better for April! Wow!

Wait wasn't Owen Shaw presumed dead in Fast 6 and the reason the older Shaw brother wanted revenge on Dom and Co is to avenge the death of his brother? But in Fast 7 they say Owen Shaw is just crippled and not dead. Though he should be dead considering what happened to him in Fast 6. So it seems kinda extreme that the older Shaw would be so blinded with rage over his brother just being cripple. Also,

during the final fight between Dom and Shaw we see shaw get trapped under rubble. But that building he was trapped in gets blown up by the choppers missiles. Yet Shaw some how survives and gets thrown in jail?

One great thing about a Hobbs spin-off is that the insane over the top action would fit him perfectly. He's a big macho guy and a ultra badass agent that actually works for the goverment and not simply an ex cop or ex street racer turned heist mastermind.

Shaw is like an Evil Hobbs and so he's perfect for a spin off. Shaw escapes somehow and Hobbs assembles his own team to go after him.

After that,make a sequel with an all new baddie then just end it all or at least just Hobbs Trilogy.

My mother loved it and I liked it but not as much as the last two. I thought Wan did a good job directing though. I do think that the plot was way too disjointed though.Well I had fun even though Paul Walkers fate was almost always on my mind.

The ending was really emotional and I thought it was a nice send off.

As much as I enjoy this, it was excessive. If anything there should have been more focused on Nathalie Emmanuel and Michelle Rodriguez.

Tyrese impressed again with the one-liners. "Double Alpha" and referencing the tank from FF6 had me dying.

I agree with the complaints that the story had a ton of holes and the action scenes were WAY over the top. I get that this franchise has gotten to the point where you're supposed to overlook such things but... I don't know, when you consider how good Fast Five was, it almost feels like the franchise has lost it's way to some extent. F5 had crazy action sequences, but most of them weren't so ludicrous that they made the movie almost feel like a big joke. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed F7 but I feel like it might have been a better movie if it had been just a little more grounded. But I guess after F6 and "the car windshield that broke Dom's fall", there was no going back.

I didn't think it was THAT much. They have those shots in every FnF movie, mostly during the race meets. When you look at the car culture in general, things like that is very common (I.E. car magazines, race tracks, etc).

I found this movie to be solid. Not as good as 5 and 6, but still fun and entertaining overall. I thought Lucas Black's character was going to have more scenes in this movie, but it was nice that they tied the ending of Tokyo Drift in this movie. I love all the movie references, and even cult classic lines like the sandwich reference between Brian and Mia.

The ending has to be one of the best endings I've seen for a movie. It was a great send off for Paul Walker and his character. It felt very meta since Vin Diesel and Dom are feeling the same way. I love the aerial shot of the two of them splitting off on the road. I think it's a good way to end the franchise, but Diesel teased a possible location for an 8th movie, which I'm so so about. As a hardcore fan of this franchise, I'll end up watching more anyways, but like I mentioned earlier, Furious 7 is a great way to end it all.

Hopefuly we'll see more of the Rock in the next film, i think they may have been limiting his role in order for him to not overstay his welcome.

don't forget he was filming Hercules at the same time so there were huge conflicts in schedules there too.

My sentiments exactly (except for the really enjoying it part). Save for the Walker send-off, this movie felt like a parody of the franchise. The plot inconsistencies are what did it for me; the subplot (or main plot? I'm having trouble differentiating between the two) with the other set of villains and the God's Eye felt unnecessary, but then again, Shaw's persistent appearances in those very scenes were just as baffling. If this guy is going to do stupid things like drive right up next to Dom and his crew rather than, you know...eliminating them from a distance as he's clearly more than capable of doing, why bother with the hacker subplot in the first place?

This flick felt a lot like a video game, for that matter. Fetch quest here, fetch quest there, protect this ally from these assailants for x amount of time, etc. Fast Five had some over the top sequences, but the plot at least had coherence and cohesiveness. I could also do without all of the soap opera styled melodrama as well. If there's one thing that a lot of these action movies are screwing up lately, it's drama. It's getting to be as over the top and corny as the action sequences themselves, and it's directly analogous to slapstick comedy at this point, it's just the other side of the fence.
