That scene was cool, but I mean...the kiss was so damn original.

Agreed, I really wished we got the ending from the novel with peter as Spidey web-swinging high up above the skyscrapers of New York with MJ by his side .

Similar to that of Spider-man 3 video game - "Mary Jane : Thrill Ride missions"

that would've been awesome .

This has probably been posted but what the hell.

I'll never forget the first time I saw that... I thought she was going to take off his mask and THAT shocked me! And while I was holding my breath, not knowing WHAT was going to happen next... she kissed him... and it was so incredibly sensuous... whoa...

Well I think this image in the trailer got a lot of people to go see it. And it still remains probably the hallmark moment of the series as it is on the back of the DVD sleeve of the first one and what most people reference in spoof or homage to the Spidey movies. That and the line "Go get 'em, Tiger."

You know for a movie where the fans just absolutely hate Dunst (I'm impartial as I prefer comics MJ much moreso but she serves Raimi's vision fine) it is ironic that the two most popular points of reference to non-fans are intimate moments in the first two between Pete and MJ.

Yet we get stupid threads about writing her out or "It's not Mary Jane 3" or my favorite "Send the Red Head to Heaven in 2007."

Funny. Not really.

You know I thought she played the role perfectly in the first movie. She isn't the typical "comic" book version of MJ, but like you said..she plays the version that Raimi has on screen pretty good. That's pretty much all I can ask for.

I never had a problem with her being MJ though. For the most part I thought the casting for the Spider-man trilogy was spot on

Agreed .

This is still one of my top 10 favorite Peter & MJ moments

I bet that's not all that's rising...

*ba-dum-tish*

Anyway, as for the thread--the Sensational Annual that came out this year. The whole bloody thing.

The Sensational Annual was hands down one of the greatest Spider-man one shots ever.

Loved it from start to finish.

True Love is Everlasting Love . Happy 20th Anniversary Peter Parker & Mary Jane .

OMG that's Amazing the woman they got to play MJ looks excatly like the one from that era in the comics . Spidey looks cool & Stan The Man rocks .

Not to metion look how John Tesh & Mary Hart looked fantastic on Entertainment Tonight in their Prime . I'm miss John he was by far my all time favorite ET Host .

Happy 20th Anniversary Peter & MJ. Peter & MJs love is truly unforgettable:heart:.

It's nice to look back at all these pics/moments of Pete and MJ.

thanks everyone!

I finally got around to buying the famous wedding issue in ASM annual 21. I've heard good things about this issue, so I think it might be a great Peter/MJ moment. As for my personal favorite, I am still undecided. However, I do love the cover to ASM 515, although it never actually happened in that issue where MJ hands Peter a hot can of soup on his way out to websling. It really makes you think he is a lucky guy with a caring and loving wife.

The MJ/Peter moments like the above are the only things I really liked about Stracynski's Spider-man run.

I can't believe he could do stuff that good, and then on the other hand write absolute trash like Sins Past, which still does this bull**** of Peter still loving Gwen and Mary Jane still believing Peter loves Gwen more than her. I ****ing hate that ****. How many more writers need to pull that crap?

I thought Spider-man: Blue by Loeb and Sale was ok with respects to the idea that it would be Peter's final goodbye to Gwen. It just keeps happening and keeps getting brought up. I'm sick of it and I'm sick of the bridge.

Thing is when I read comics I like it more often when characters are together when they are apart. The romantic tension and the years spent apart where they can't get together just bores me.

Why are writers so intimidated by having a super hero or heroine have a steady relationship or even marriage? I think this thread has proven that MJ and Peter are so much more interesting and attractive together than they are apart.

You got that right Spidey. Peter Parker is one lucky man. :word:

Even though the writing for ASM has declined in recent years, I think the cover to ASM 515 is one of my absolute favorites. I loved Mike Deodato art, and it was very sad to see his brief stint on ASM go.

Now I'll be the first to tell you I hate the whole Mega Clone Saga storyarc (Minus Ben Reilly / The Scarlet Spider , Who was a great addtion to the cast of Spider-man .) Still they were some great Peter & Mj moments .

This one of those great moments .

Mary Jane Watson-Parker, a pregnant woman with no superpowers, has to defend herself from her beloved husband Peter Parker /Spider-Man who's on a homocidal rampage created by the Jackal in one final attempt to drive Peter Parker totally insane.

For me these two issue's show just how strong a character MJ is. (Peter is really is the luckest Man alive to have such a woman in his life as his wife .)
