Comics Favorite Peter/MJ moment?

I wish I could scan this, but it's from the Moon Knight/Midnight storyarc. Peter is in bed with M.J. when he gets a call on his Avengers I.D. card from Moon Knight:

Peter: "Okay, Moon Knight. I'm on my way."

Mary Jane: "Aww honey, not more Spidey action again."

Peter: "Hey, you weren't complaining about the Spidey action you just...."

Mary Jane: "Finish that sentence and you'll be sleeping on the couch for a month."

Peter: "Yes, dear."

Moon Knight: (to himself) "Hmmm, I'll have to remind Spider-Man to turn off his communicator during personal conversations."

:spidey:

Ha!

Damn never heard about that one.

That's classic.

This thread makes me sad. :csad:

Razzum, frazzum Brand New Day...

Another topic on this board suggests that BND is doing very well. I'm truly saddened to think that we may never see MJ and Peter together again. Until then...I won't buy.

BND is doing well for now.

If you look at the sales, they have dropped issue after issue. I personally feel that the sales next month will also drop a bit. There will be a sales bump when MJ appears (You would think that Marvel would get the hint when that happens).

Anyway, I don't expect sales for this title to remain strong. People are hanging around waiting for a reason to justify all that took place in OMD. That moment still hasn't happened and we're 9 issues in already.

I really think that sooner or later Peter & MJ will be back togeather.

I have something to add!

Stan Lee, remember him?

Well, HE still writes a married Spider-Man in his daily comic strip.

Here is some recent (and classic) MARRIED Spidey goodness.

Love the old M.J/Peter from Stan and the early 70's. Before M.J just kinda begame sad all the time. My fav is prob. the classic moment at the end of ASM#122 when Gwen had died and M.J went to Peter forem symphaty. Peter yells at her and tells her to go away. But she closes the door and stay. Lots of character devvlopment in that one moment

Hot.

I cant believe that Joe thought that it would be a good idea to get rid of the ridiculously high cheesecake factor that having MJ brought. Maybe its not the most mature reason for wanting MJ back (and I actually like the mature dynamic that a married Spidey brings), but hey, sex sells.

You call it cheesecake... I call it romance... but it WORKED because a.) they were MARRIED (face it, married sex doesn't offend anybody) and b.) there were tasteful limits. :cwink:

One of the most ABSURD and OFFENSIVE comments to race out of the evil ones mouth, was that all the intimacy that Peter and MJ shared still happened... just without the benefit of that annoying, character aging, story killing, albatross of a commitment called MARRIAGE. :whatever:

But the IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY of JQ when it comes to the marriage has been well documented... "Open mouth, insert foot."

That is a great moment...

I think one of my favorite moments with Peter and MJ was one of the last. The look of pride and love on her face when he comes crashing through the window to rescue her from the guy interrogating her (just after he pours his life story out to the cop in the cafe. "Go rescue your wife.")

Well, cheesecake in regards to MJ's barely concealing robe. But yes, it was romantic as well. Very true, the "relations" between Peter and MJ were hinted at, but tastefully, as you said. I assume that one of the goals behind BND was to "spice things up," which we havent seen and I'm not interested in anyway.

This whole erase the marriage thing has been handled badly, imo. If you want to tell stories that cant be told with Peter married, and erase a marriage to make it possible, than a writer should actually follow through with the story. So far, I havent seen any stories that must be told with a single Spidey.

have those Stan Lee comic strips ever been published? i'd definitely buy it

Sadly, no. It's a shame that the best, most consistent run of Spider-Man is pretty much unavailable unless one has been collecting that strip all these years.

I really liked that moment in Sensational Spider-Man Annual #1. It was heart warming.
