lol the only thing is, we've witnessed firsthand that it takes exactly 23.5 hours for Palmer to grow a set and finally make the decisive, right decision. By that time, the Cylons would have wiped out the last 44,000 or so humans left.

That's true, but it makes for good suspense on tv. If Palmer came out and made the life-saving decision right off the bat, 24 would be a pretty boring show. All we would have left is resolution...
