Favourite 80s Movie?...and Why!

Where you all teens in the eighties or where you to young to appreciate them at the time and came across them later like me?.

I came to appreciate them later as i was born in the mid eighties so to young to see them. For some reason I just have a real affection for movies from that decade.

i only saw the 80s movie in the late nights cuz i was only born in 88

Damn...I forgot about Tin Men. This is Barry Levinson's masterpiece. Also, The Mosquito Coast is an awesome film.

I love 'Better Off Dead' due to it's absurd humor.

I love 'Big Trouble in Little China' for being a fun ride and ahead of its time.

Empire Strikes Back. Epitome of Sequels.

can't argue with Erz there

ESB one of the all timers

off the top of my head...

The Empire Strikes Back
The Return of The Jedi
Indiana Jones Trilogy
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
This is Spinal Tap!
Star Trek II
Star Trek VI
UHF

Back 2 the future was another favorite of mine

Sweet Mother god this is a huge task. I will say that Horror in the 80's hasn't even come close to being matched. Just pure good times as far as horror goes.

Porky's, because it is damn funny! I too, like the coaches laughed myself sick at Mrs. Balbricker's chat with the principal.. along with most of the movie for that matter. :woot:

But it's also interesting dealing with serious issues, such as racism and an abusive father.

TRANSFORMERS
Die Hard
The Warrior
Ghostbusters
Gremlins
Lethal Weapon
Robocop
Blue Velvet
Masters Of The Universe
The Punisher
Batman
Superman II
The Breakfast Club

Robocop

Why?- Because it is the best film of the decade.

It's not my favorite but I have a fondness for License to Drive. I remember being very nervous before my driver's test and watching this movie the night before just took all the tension away.

I just remembered Adventures In Babysitting, Elizabeth Shue was pretty cute in that one.
