Favourite 80s Movie?...and Why!

When I think of the 80s, I think of John Hughes. When I think of John Hughes, I think of The Breakfast Club. Best 80s movie ever.

I actually think Breakfast Club is HUGELY OVERATED i recognise its iconic and spoke to millions of teens at the time but it is pretty boring as a movie. Ferris bueller is the best teen movie of the eighties no contest imo.

They're both excellent. I just like Breakfast Club a little bit more.

Aliens...it was right during the peak of 80's-style action films.

I love 80's action movies. Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Terminator, Aliens, Commando, Predator, Robocop, Cobra. Also the early 90's with The Last Boy Scout and Point Break. I wish they made action films like this again.

I just remembered Adventures In Babysitting, Elizabeth Shue was pretty cute in that one.

love that film with the fake Thor. Back To The Future and Karate Kid proved Elizabeth Shue was the Ultimate 80s girlfriend.

well known actor vincent donifreo (the villain in men in black) played the mechanic who looked like thor.

I too love RoboCop.
I have too many to pick a favorite, but Robo's definitely up there.

Predator.
I was just a little kid when I saw. it's the first horror movie I ever saw and I wasn't even afraid at that time. I enjoyed every second.

THE GOONIES!!!

Predator, all 3 Indy movies, Back to the Future...pretty much all the 80's classics...

Robocop is the type of film i wanted Judge Dredd to be right down to the theme music.

Cmon seriously, Mike Fox was the King in the '80's

Batman first and foremost
Ghostbusters,
Ghostbusters II,
Robocop,
Who Framed Roger Rabbit,
E.T.

Predator
Aliens
Batman
Indiana Jones 1,2,3

wow...all 3 Indianna flicks were the 80's weren't they. For some reason I was thinking Last Crusade was early 90's, but it was indeed 89.
I remember seeing all 3 of those film.
I was pretty young when I saw Raiders. I went with my neighbor and had no clue what I was in for. All I knew was it had Han Solo in it....I was blown away.
3 years later, my parent took me out to celebrate my birthday or something I did. Maybe my grades. We went out to eat and ended up the show. My parents asked what I wanted to see...I didn't even know there was another Jones movie out. They even bought me a Temple of Doom souvenier book from the box office..which I still have. Not only did I love it, but this time, my parents, who had no clue what it was, were blown away.
I was high school when Last Crusade came out but I remember seeing it with a couple of friends..and yeah enjoyed the hell out of it.
Good times related to that series.
