:funny: I guess he just coincidentally happens to be the best man for the job.

The level of stupidity on display by the morons that defend Trump in that WSJ article's comment section, in light of all we've now know, is mind boggling. How so many obvious morons can continue to be gainfully employed so they can afford an Internet connection is baffling.

This presidency is showing who people really are. I've seen others in here talk about father's, and wives who have drunk the Trump koolaid. Defending him on the most ridiculous of things.

It finally happened to me last weekend. A friend that I trust, and find to be witty, and easy to get along with. Someone I never talk politics with, just suddenly burst into a rant against people who are against Trump. Out of nowhere.

She was saying he's the first president in a long time that allows us to say Merry Christmas. That he's preventing illegal immigrants from beheading us all. That he may be an idiot, but he's got America as his only goal. That because of all of that, that he's the best president we've had in over 5 presidents.

To say that was a shocking conversation would be an understatement. I could feel myself shaking my head instinctually. I stayed quiet, and just said to remember most politicians are grimy. It's all I could say. We still get along. Luckily that was the first, and only political conversation we've had, and I'm pretty sure my body language told her I was the polar opposite in concerns to Trump.

I would never had guessed she was a die hard Trump supporter. Trump just feeds into that fear, or buried prejudice his supporters have. Bringing it out, or stoking it, making it worse.

My parents in law were whining about political correctness a few night ago and how supposedly only conservatives can be criticized. I'm proud to say my wife said she wants Bernie to run in 2020 and that Trump is a piece of crap. This coming from a woman that voted for him. So there is hope for some people.

Because he's the only one stupid enough to want to say yes.....?

Why couldn’t you say Merry Christmas before? Were you going to get arrested?

A friend of mine became a Trump supporter and I completely cut him out of my life.

To go beyond, the guy became a literal Neo-Nazi too so there’s more to it than that.

But, as a minority in no way do I feel safe around him as he is now. Eerily - I and another guy (who’s Jewish) were two of the closest friends he had growing up - so, how he ever got that way - no clue, he was struggling with drugs though.

Because these people have no rhyme, sense, or reason. It somehow went from being furious that people were saying “happy holidays” to imagining people were raging a war on christmas.

The only war on christmas that I know of is the one they raged - going against “peace on earth and good will to men” (“peace for only America and ill will to anyone who isn’t a white/straight/non-immigrant/Christian”)

They claim lie and say that nothing Trump-related ever has anything to do with Trump.

I don't know. Fox is always harping on about it, but I still see Merry Christmas everywhere. I've never had a workplace tell me I couldn't say it. I know there's still that right wing conspiracy that states Obama banned Christmas, despite compilation videos of him saying Merry Christmas repeatedly exist.

What's her plan? Go down with the ship? Sanders should have quit months ago. She's teetering dangerously close to staining her future life forever. Get out while you still can for goodness sake.

She’s as vile as the rest of them. She deserves to go down with the ship. There is not one good and decent person in Trump’s circle.

I think this situation exposed the fact that Sanders was willing to compromise her ethics in order to improve her standing. And yeah, I think that speaks poorly to her character. Do I think she's much worse than the typical American, just doing their job? Not really. Most of us sell out our morals to make a buck... on a daily basis. There'd probably be 30 million Americans who would've said yes to Trump's job offer just like she did... so I understand. Heck, I'd find it tempting to work in the White House.

But it only goes so far. At a certain point, she has to quit or yes... she is so complicit, that she has to own it forever. I don't know if she's quite there yet but if these charges continue to drop, it might quickly become too late for her.

As a minority who’s demonized by the white supremacist house I wouldn’t ever want a job with a bigot nor do I find anyone who does work to progress Trump’s agenda innocent.

George W. Bush, that could be said about - someone who’s as far as Trump when it comes to making the country a literally far more dangerous place for many people? It really can’t be.

Everyone who helps to further Trump’s agenda should go down with him and none have my pity for having done so. They’re adults, they made a decision to make the country a dangerous place to live for so many people. Actions have consequences and hopefully from those they can get a moral compass.

I have the same sympathy for Huckster that I have for Goebbels - none.

I hear you. I do think there are a lot of folks who are working in the White House, because they feel a sense of duty to help their government. These are the folks who could be thought of as the "deep state." The behind-the-scenes staff members who are just trying to hold everything together until this madness is over. I don't know what to think of those people honestly. Their intentions are good, but are they legitimizing this administration? I dunno. Complicated issue. I certainly would never be an upper level cabinet member in this administration, that's for sure.

Sarah is basically to Trump what Goebbels was to Hitler. She, on a regular basis, stands up for Trump and helps to further spread his venomous message. She knows what she’s doing and she is just as vile as the rest of them. I have as much sympathy for Huckster as I do for Goebbels - none.

Office workers who help Trump are reprehensible unless they’re helping to stall or diminish his attacks or are leaking things so the country doesn’t become as dangerous of a place as Trump and co want.

Trump’s actions and words have a death toll. Since Trump first stepped into the scene, hate crimes have risen on a yearly basis. Plus, Trump gets his base to send death threats and bombs with the intent to kill to companies he has a problem with. We’re not done yet with year 2. It isn’t like working a typical gov’t job for someone who’s in a different party.

She is her father's daughter.

We will see what happens. All the crimes are apparently beginning to penetrate the Fox bubble.

But then again, as we are beginning to see, a whole lot of the GOP are compromised.
