I'm sort of baffled by the idea that we should be taking the manuscript over sworn testimony. I don't understand the logic on that one.

It does demonstrate that Cohen is full of crud in one respect: he had a change of heart because he got caught, and no reason besides that.

Luckily.. we don't need to take Cohen's word for it. He gave plenty of new leads that can be investigated... and as far as I'm concerned... Cohen's testimony gave more than enough reason for us to get ahold of financial documents. If Trump wasn't under audit, if Trump did defraud insurance claims, if Trump did use the Trump foundation as a slush fund... then that should be game over.

In the regular world at least. Of course, we're all living in Trump town now, so I somehow doubt even that'd be enough in the court of public opinion.

The majority of middle America votes for people that are "just like them." Which is why politics is the way it is. Hell, here in Chicago the two mayoral candidates are two black women, one of which is a lesbian. But less than half of the city actually voted.
