Saw this from Jon Favreau's link on twitter. Pretty cool. Still have a hard time seeing Rourke's face without thinking WTF?

I think it looks good in comparison to the comic. I'm suprised he has nothing to conceal his identity . I also think it may be an early version of the outfit.

Looks pretty sick so far! Wonder if that's the look for the whole film or if it develops at all a la Tony's suit in IM1.

Definitely unexpected. I'm really not sure what I expected to be honest. At first I thought he was, like that Donut pic of RDJ, going to have CGI elements added to the image in post. But then wouldn't he have some p.j.'s on as well? I just don't know what to think yet.

Definitely an improvement on his comic book look, but that wasn't exactly a hard one to top.

Has great potential, but like most assume I'd have to say it is a prototype.
I mean, how are you seriously going to go up against Iron Man without some more protective gear then that, you'd be dead in a flash regardless of your crazy arm whips.

He isn't fighting Spider-Man here, he needs to deal with Tony ****ing Stark!

Wow, really disappointing. Mickey Rourke looks freakish enough after his plastic surgery- shoulda just sent him in with no makeup. He already looks like Marv from Sin City.

I don't know what's up with Whiplash anyway- I think of him as a really third rate character.

Don't worry so much about the character, he'll be well written, well directed, and well acted.

With the team they have they could make The Big Wheel entertaining.

It's not Nascar(Tony's too high-brow for that). It's the Monaco Grand Prix.

Also just a reminder Whiplash is not to be confuzed with Backlash... who also had a whip.

Backlash is in the backround as the green hair...kinda looks like a Zorro reject, Backlash is in gear very simmilar to what Mic is in.

It actually looks more like a tracksuit and then reveals himself. There is a person in the background with the same orange uniform and a helmet.

I agree. This seems more in line with what Tony was wearing when he was testing out this thrusters in his workshop. Why else would they say he's a blend of Crymson Dynamo and Whiplash if all he's getting are the whips?

That is kinda how i thought they would make the character look. his appearance in the comics deff. wouldn't fit the movie world, I like it. Its a great mix of grunge and dirty-tech, which would look great going up against Tony's sleek and intellectual tech.

Looks good for a proto-type armour. Rourke looks suitably "scary" or at least "creepy". As others have mentioned, I don't see how he could pose a credible threat to Iron Man if that is the "final" suit.

I suppose the "whips" could keep Iron Man from getting in close for "iron vs. exposed flesh" combat, but that wouldn't stop Iron Man's repulsor blasts or various other missiles, etc which could be used from a distance.

I personally love it, though I was hoping to see the Crimson Dynamo armor.

Maybe he upgrades throughout the movie. Either way, definitely an improvement to the comics in regards to Whiplash.
