Sequels For those who want a TOTAL Restart; choose your Cast and Director.

I always pictured Garber playing Jonathan Kent in the place of Glenn Ford's version, if Singer wanted to keep that version intact.

Michael Ironside would make an interesting Perry since he has a loud commanding presense and can be pretty tough.

If Taylor Cole isnt cast as Wonder Woman (the role she was born to play), I could see her making a hot Lois Lane.

Dude, Ill give you Taylor Cole. She SHOULD be Wonder Woman, and would make a smokin Lois Lane. A little young though.

And if you want a tougher Perry with a commanding presence, look no further than R.Lee Ermey.

Damnit, you know the biggest problem I would have trying to cast a Superman movie. The best actors for the majority of the roles are either to young or to old, there is no one that is just right.

Taylor is perfect for WW though. She looks old enough and WW and Lois Lane should both be in their early-mid 20s for year one origin stories anyways.

I know what you mean . For Lois Lane I think either Sela Ward or Jacqueline Mckenzie of 4400 would have made great Lois's , but now they're both too old for a restart .

Someone mentioned Victor Garber earlier for Perry White which would be intresting . I actually thought he would make a pretty good Jor El.

Adam Brody as Jimmy Olsen sounds pretty good to me as well

Anyone who would pay money to see another 'from the beginning' movie, especially one based on the most recognizable fictious character in modern times - is an idiot.:down

No offense. That has to be the scariest casting I've seen.....right down to directed by JJ Abrams....but I guess it works in the context of his script.

Daniel Day-Lewis would be cool as hell, but other than that, your cast is pretty horrible.

nobody's going to replace Singer... just because a few militant internet dorks are all pissed off about shades of red, the majority of the general movie going public, and reviewers loved the movie... just because it underperformed doesn't mean anything, so did batman begins.

Although I'm not a huge Matrix fan maybe those Wakowski bros. could make a thrilling Superman movie. Just don't let them write it.
Maybe Goyer/Nolan should write it. They seem to have respect for osuce material and actually get off their a$$es and do some research unlike Lazy Bryan Singer.
Thats a 4 man team. perfect.

I agree with the casting of the Kents and Jor-El. Other than that...I'm taking a step back and leaving you on your own for the rest of it.:)

It's funny, because the reviews of most of the major critics were positive ones, and the movie isn't exactly tanking at the box office. Hey, it ain't lightin' the world on fire ala' Spider-Man...but it's not exactly Gigli. Even if I hated the movie, I'd still be sure of a sequel. Likely to keep the same crew and cast, too.

Stewie, that's crazy! I originally wanted Haley Joel as a young Kent. Zane would be a damn good Lex Luthor. If not Luthor I always had him in mind as Black Adam in a Cap' movie. Cavill was also my frontrunner choice back in the day before I saw the film.

The movie would be borderline animation, and black and white like Sin City with only things like Superman's suit in color (but graphic flat shading).

The whole comic book look of the film would allow for special effects to better fit in. The flying for example would be easier to make look real.

The following isn't in color, but it let's you know where I'd go with the casting and cutting the suit. I want the cape to go over the shoulders; I want a Roman look. And when he dies at the end of the first movie I want a flush S on the cape so it can be draped over the casket in the closing scene.

So the story is simple. A trilogy with Darkseid as the macro villain, Superman is in his 80s, he isn't the same man anymore, he is alone and dying, Luthor killed Lois long ago, and Superman killed Luthor.

The Donner footage of Jor El would be used as well as the old music score, but that is all. I am undecided as to who to cast as Darkseid. He can't look generic.

In the first film Darkseid comes to Earth and plans to make a martyr of Superman so he can create an inorganic clone of him and use the resurrected image to use Earth's own mythologies against them (tricking Earth into giving up their independence to Darkseid's false Christ puppet). He doesn't come with an army; he only comes to kill Earth's greatest champion. He unleashes his living weapon bound in a green silk called Gleipnir which grows tighter the more one struggles; no name is given to the creature (the final chapter of the film simply shows a title reading Doomsday like a Terantino film).

Doomsday is composed of white diamonds (a side effect of all the presure from struggling in the bindings) and would have a power not seen in the comics; he would somewhat control the earth (think Sandman from Spiderman). I don't know who to cast for that character either.

The first characters to face Doomsday would be Swamp Thing and the Martian. The Martian would have the iconic cape but the coloring would be different and the make up would be Giger-esque, much liberty taken in the design as with Mystique in Xmen.

Shazam would also appear; the actor would have to have the squarest jaw line and the white cape should be more like a scarf.

The first hero to appear other than Superman in the overall film would be the Dark Knight in black and white.

The first time we see Batman, he would be trying to be slick sneaking up on Superman (who of course calls him out); the purpose of the meeting being to bust up a bunch of gangsters. Joker has a new group of super soldier mercenaries led by Bane (everyone has guns including Batman except for Superman). In the mix as well in this chapter of the film would be the following vengeance seeker:

twofacetext.jpg

In the final fight, Doomsday and Superman break a lot of stuff, and Superman uses a couple of things like a steel post as a weapon hitting Doomsday like a baseball into the air reaching for the canope of the skyscrapper skyline. In the end the beast is defeated by Superman who has a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome moment feeling pity for Darkseid's prisoner and does not kill it. Darkseid retrieves his weapon and the cybernetic silk envelopes him. Superman is weak but he fights Darkseid atop the ship's open throne room as it goes into orbit. At this point he loses his cape which drifts to the ground (and is draped over an empty casket in the burial scene in the end). Superman grows weaker and dies, freezing quickly in the cold of space seated on the throne (after being thrown into it by Darkseid). Darkseid transmits the images of the frozen Superman to Earth and departs.

Superman's DNA is harvested to create a clone which is sent back to Earth in part two to govern the planet through martial law in Darkseid's absence. Superman's body is to be destroyed; Darkseid has the throne ship with Superman still seated there launched in the direction of a blue dwarf. His body thaws and is super charged from the exposure, he awakens fourty years younger, and filled with a whole new power that lasts the duration of the trilogy.

Superman returns to Earth piloting Darkseid's towering prison where the Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman, and others have all failed to defeat the Man of Steel. Kal El digs up his cape and then proceeds to kill the jebus out of a clone.

In part three Superman goes to the home world of Darkseid, unleashes Doomsday, faces Darkseid, and destroys him freeing the peoples of many worlds from the self proclaimed New God.

Lex Luthor. This guy can go from very calm to really intence and still come off smart. He could do both Lexcorp Lex and mad scientist Lex. Check out The Stepfather. Hes a total psyhco in that.

And a waaaay better Lois. Hot, spunky with lots of charm. Bosthworth played the role ALL WRONG. She was like an emotional wreck on painkillers.

Okay. well first of all we will NEVER get this. We will get a Singer sequel, which is all fine and dandy with me. I'm handling this post as if I were the director:

Superman/Clark/Kal-El: Henry Cavill

Use mettallo in the first movie

save brainiac for the second.

Superman/Clark Kent : An Unknown

Lois Lane : Rachel McAdams

Lex Luthor : Anthony Hopkins (He may be a bit old but I think he'd be Perfect
as the post crisis Lex)

Jor El : Michael Gambon ( He was rumored for the part a few years ago and I think he would be great for the part.)

Johnathan Kent : Terry Quinn (Lost) I think he'd make a good Pa Kent as well as a good Lex.

Martha Kent : Mary McDonnell( Battlestar Galactica, Donnie Darko)

Metallo/John Corbon : Sean Bean ( This guys done it all for 006 to LOTR's .I'm sure he could do Metallo in his sleep)

Perry White : Tommy Lee Jones ( BF aside, I think he has that right down to earth and comedic quality to be the Daily Planets editor . Plus no one can deliver a one liner like he can)

Jimmy Olsen : Scott Clifton

Brainiac : Ray Fiennes (He'd have a breif apperance in the first one and an expanded role in 2)

Mercy : Peta Wilson ( Yeah , she was in SR but I think she was made for this part)

evangeline lily as lois lane.

what up now :D

Call me crazy, but I'd get the Sky Captain guys to make it.
