Infinity War Fortunately, I Am Mighty - The Thor Thread! - Part 1

Thor and Loki's brotherly love was precious, what an awesome way to wrap up their long journey together.

Not to mention Loki went out like a G!

Taken out slowly dying @ Thanos hands is a strong death.

Not a punk death

And he went out swinging, literally he didn't wuss out and was clearly not afraid of Thanos.

He even talked trash during his death, "You....will never be a god" .

Agreed, that was a good last line too.

:word:

Thor moved and looked more superhuman and "God-like" than he ever has in live action. The way he flew and soared through the air, the way he smashed the ground in the Wakanda battle.

Not to mention him swinging around a small space craft and resisting it's thrusters. He basically pulled that HUGE skyscraper sized space ring together. I mean technically the space craft did it, but he was the anchor which requires equal or greater strength than flat out pulling it himself.

Best strength feat in the entire MCU!

It’s apparent that both Russos and Taika know how to direct Thor.

Vartha would have loved this movie.

Definitely, but if I had to chose I would pick The Russos over Taika for Thor 4.

Thor would beat Hela's ass in a rematch, Kurse's as well.

When he started wrecking **** in Wakanda I was chocking up. He is in God mode now.

While Thor's God mode in Ragnarok looked cooler (better looking lightning and "lightning eyes"), Infinity War Thor would TRASH him in a few hits.

It's kind of fun that the evening before I saw Infinity War I was reading Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, which just happened to be the book in my reading stack that came up. The last chapter I read before going to sleep was about [blackout]Eitri and Brokkr forging Mjolnir (among other things), which is funny timing when the day after I got to see the MCU version of Eitri forging a hammer for Thor.[/blackout]

That's some boss stuff right there bro, what are the odds.

A question i had when watching this 2nd time.

when raccoon asked him about his
best friend...and thor replied "stabbed through the heart," who was he talking about ?

a)Heimdall - IW
b)Agent Coulson - Avengers 1 infront of him
c)Warriors 3 - thor ragnork

All of them were stabbed through the heart.....though the warriors 3 were killed when Thor was at sarkarr

So, it's safe for me to let my inner geek loose and get ready for a great Thor performance ??

I go this morning and feel like Christmas when I was a kid....I see all the presents under the tree but they aren't open yet and I AM READY !!

To be honest Heimdall was more of a friend than The Warriors Three in my opinion, so I think he was talking about him.

Yes most definitely, I'm still wooing over Thor in this movie.

Yeah, it was an interesting one for me too. I took it as Coulson at the time for some reason, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense given Heimdall (and he's known Coulson for what, a year?). It's probably Heimdall.

Yeah. And although I've read the myths before it was a good reminder of how the scene actually took more from that than you might guess at first glance. [BLACKOUT]Eitri was the gifted smith and Brokkr's job was just to work the bellows to keep the forge at the perfect temperature, as if it was a fraction of a degree off it would ruin the work. In essence that's the job they gave to Thor in the scene, as the other dwarves were gone, but just in a much more epic manner.[/BLACKOUT]

I think it has to be A because Thor never saw what happened to C.

Anyone else love the quiet scene between Thor and Rocket? Thor has really been through a lot in Ragnarok and now this one and i loved seeing it get to him, as well as seeing how the events of Guardians Vol. 2 really grew Rocket as a character. That was a fantastic character pair up.

I LOVED this scene. The heartbreak... He's a broken man fuelled by revenge and anger. Can't wait to see how this plays out, and whether it leads to him making a death play in A4

So Thor's stormbreaker almost fried

thanos' gauntlet right ? I mean it looked like it was burnt before he teleported himself. The infinity stones also looked burnt.

And when he was looking at the sun set @ some planet....he did not have his gauntlet. So was it destroyed ?

It also seems that the stormbreaker was more powerful than a fully powered gauntlet as it manages to cut through the power beam easily (before piercing) thanos

If Thor was at titan with the rest.....Thanos would have been killed for sure
