Yes folks, it's the sweet fourth anniversary of the release of that Spectacular animated series; The Spectacular Spider-Man

Let us share the sweet sweet memories about that show, and get back to it

Here are some of my memories of watching the show. I didn't see the show when it premeired. I never even heard of it till they started showing it on Disney XD. I remember that it reminded me of the anime dramas I used to love back then. However, for the most part, it was mainly a "pass the time" show. It wasn't until like, a year later, when I saw the last episode, [not knowing at that time that it was the last episode], that I became more interested in the show. So this, along with some help from Spider-Man 3, is what made me a Spider-Man fan. Wish there had been more episodes, but this was and still is, a great show.

I have all the episodes saved to my PS3 HDD. I will occasionally go back and watch an episode every now and again. TSSM was epic. They got so much about PP and the overall story of Spider-man right.

Yeah, it was a great show.
Watched all the episodes back to back on my blu-ray player (Complete season 1, and the 4 volumes which make up season 2), and believe me, it looks even better when upscaled.
Never expected any less from Greg Weisman as I'm a huge fan of Gargoyles.
It's a shame that show never got season 2 volume 2 released also, Greg's always gettin done over it seems.
Really would have liked them to go into the Hobgoblin arc in future seasons, and Harry taking up the mantle of the Green Goblin

I wish we could have gotten ONE more season man. Just one more to wrap up the loose ends ( Spidey and Black Cat's shocking connection, the whole love triangle between Pete, Harry and Gwen etc. etc.). That cartoon made me excited to wake up on saturday mornings again.

I started watching the show again
Why did Spidey break Norman's limo door when he could have taken Vulture by surprise?

I made a SSM appreciation thread a while back, you know? Doesn't hurt to scroll down a bit.

Anyways, yeah, going to miss this show. A lot. Especially seeing the new show's footage. Though unlike the others, I was pretty open-minded about it from the get-go. I knew that the people behind it would do great, and they did.

True, but an anniversary thread would make it kind more obvious

I wasn't as open minded, didn't know any of the team before this show
