FOX News' Megyn Kelly "Santa and Jesus Are White"

I was talking to a family friend recently who works at Fox News. He's told us the only pundit there who actually believes the stuff he says on the air is Sean Hannity. And no one who works there likes him. Their morning hosts are truly as dumb as they sound, and yes...Glenn Beck was completely an act, he was really nothing like that off-camera. A guy who rides my bus works on Beck's radio show now and says the same thing. In fact, he said they were all pulling for Obama in the last election because it meant they'd have job security.

How ****ing sad is that. The big 3 are such a bunch of ****ing liars and phonies it makes me soo sick. This is why I take everything those ass clowns say with a grain of salt. This makes my blood boil soo bad.

You're not a news reporter, you're a god damn media puppet.

I guess I'm confused, with regards to the Jesus statement,

Shouldn't the proper and final answer from a "True Christian" be "It doesn't matter what color he was." The end.

There's always exceptions in this regard, but Bill Cosby hit it right on the head about many blacks perpetuating negative ethnic stereotypes themselves. When a black kid who wants to enter medical school is called a traitor, or accused of "acting white", something's terribly wrong. Its a very sad reality, but the truth is still that most Americans (especially men) currently jailed for violent crimes are black. I hate it too, but not every terrible thing done to someone with dark skin is due to their ethnicity..

Blacks are perpetuating negative ethnic stereotypes? Really? And I thought it was the horrible conditions in which most of them are being born into which automatically gives them a very hard chance to success in life and the fact that they were forced to come to America with slave ships to build white man's home. Oh, and I am sure all of the blacks that you wrote fill the prisons must be the worst human beings, serial killers etc.

Blacks are not victimised by them selves, but by the few wealthy of the society and the big media like Fox and their likes, to keep the masses delusional, just as their mother land Africa is purposefully abused for precious recourses and becoming a wasteland of the western world and an endless graveyard.

And I find it amusing when I hear things like, "oh, blacks and asians are the minority, why we should take them into account?"
I think actually they consist the majority over whites not only in the US, but all over the world.

Often times, I think people fall back on this warped definition of "personal responsibility" just so they don't have to deal with any actual responsibility they might have for the well being of others. "Personal responsibility" is political code talk for "somebody else's problem."

The fact of the matter is, white heterosexual Christian men run the table in this country. They reap the benefits of our society more than anyone else. They have all the power. And as a nerdy Jew from Manhattan once taught us, with great power comes great responsibility. That means looking out for other people, not just yourself, and letting go some of your privilege, most of which you didn't even earn yourself, to help out people who have less than you.

The irony is that what you said is 100 times more "christian and caring":up: than the words of that blonde propaganda machine in Fox.

Why does this not even surprise me

I thought the image of a morbidly obese male with a white beard and red suit was created for advertising back around the 1930s.

I love how serious Megan Kelly is when she says that Santa Claws is real, just like Jesus Christ, which she says is a fact. I would have to dispute the statement that a person called Jesus Christ existed is a fact. It may be generally accepted that such a person existed but I don't know if there is actual evidence to back up that claim.

^^
Basically, these journalists have no ethics if I understand your post correctly ?
Sadly it seems to be the standard today that so few journalists (at least those on a major network/show) have any kind of ethics.

Everyone knows the more outlandish you are with what you say and what you do, the more attention you'll get and the more money will roll in your way. This extends from the media to politics, from television to music, and so on. Other than a few exceptions, I think most people who spout off this kind of nonsense don't believe what they say for a second. It's all an act. When we sit there and think "how can someone be so stupid," the real answer is: they're not. They're playing the system. Kanye West/Kim Kardashian, Fox News, Sarah Palin, etc, they're all acting and getting rich and famous for it.

I struggle to even call the people on Fox News journalists. They seem like more like political and social commentators.

The Guardian, The Times, The BBC, CNN ect which does lots of investigative journalism are more credible sources for news despite the flaws in all of those places I listed.

I think Sarah Palin legitimately thinks the way she does. You can't act that politically inept and ignorant and hope to win an election. McCain might have stood a chance with someone who had experience.

Kanye/Kim I think are genuinely egotistical but they're not stupid and instead crafting this image to gain celebrity.

Most of the others it's probably mostly an act, although in some ways it is a relief to know it's an act and they aren't this extreme or blind. But it's also sad they are willing to exploit those who are for their own gains as those extremists are dividing the country.

I disagree on both accounts I think Sarah Palin is a great self promoter and plays up her views. I also think McCain was toast no matter who was his VP, his side knew that and decided to go for a swing for the fences pick as a VP

In fact, he said they were all pulling for Obama in the last election because it meant they'd have job security.

I can believe this, a Democrat in Office works wonders for the right wing pundit world. I have to believe many in the right wing entertainment complex secretly hoped Obama won because it makes them more revelent.

The most prominent men in the abolition of U.S. slavery - Abraham Lincoln and William Wilberforce - were both white. Just sayin'. ;)

Oh, and I am sure all of the blacks that you wrote fill the prisons must be the worst human beings, serial killers etc.
I never said that. You're deliberately twisting my statement about the ratio of blacks to other groups currently jailed in America, for violent crimes in general.

Blacks are not victimized by them selves, but by the few wealthy of the society and the big media like Fox and their likes, to keep the masses delusional, just as their mother land Africa is purposefully abused for precious recourses and becoming a wasteland of the western world and an endless graveyard.
Many of the powerful people in Africa keep lots of wealth for themselves, instead of helping their own. That's one of many reasons why places like Katito in Kenya stay poor, regardless of constant U.S. support.

And I find it amusing when I hear things like, "oh, blacks and asians are the minority, why we should take them into account?"
I never said we shouldn't consider them at all, but the benefit of the majority should be first in line.

I think actually they consist the majority over whites not only in the US, but all over the world.
I don't know about other nations, but blacks currently account for about 13% of the total U.S. population.

Right, because black people are the only ones who do this :whatever: They're products of their environment and colonization.

Given the wage gap in the US, there are many rich white people who keep the wealth for themselves.

Anyone know if whites are convicted of violent crimes at a higher ratio than Asians?

If it's higher would those who look down on blacks accept a genetic explanation or would they suddenly blame culture?

As a white man, da china man is always getting away with violent crimes! Have you ever seen Jackie Chan get arrested!? That dude fights all over towns!

Wow. That is the single biggest white washing simplification of American history I think I've ever read.

Like, for starters, Frederick Douglas. Also slave revolts. And the 50th Massachusetts regiment.

The two most visible abolitionists where white because of racism, but to say that African Americans didn't play a vital part in their own emancipation is ridiculous.

That's one of many reasons why places like Katito in Kenya stay poor, regardless of constant U.S. support.

Most of the other reasons have to do with the long term disastrous effects of European colonization on the region.

I never said we shouldn't consider them at all, but the benefit of the majority should be first in line.

Why?

Shouldn't the benefit of those at the greatest disadvantage be first in line?

That's a myth. The modern American image of Santa Claus comes from the poem a A Visit from St. Nicholas (probably better known today as Twas the Night Before Christmas after its opening line) which was first published in 1823.

The origins go back much further. The Dutch Sinterklaas was wearing red and white going back to the Middle Ages, although the outfit is more similar to that of a bishop than the later American version that it heavily influenced. The old man look with the white beard possibly came from Odin, who was often depicted as looking very similar to Gandalf the Grey.

You re right about the acting thing. But the root problem is not solely those propaganda journalists and wealthy men with power. I blame the people who worship them and are giving them a reason to exist. It is time we stop idolizing the likes of Kanye, Kardashian, Fox news, politicians etc. waiting to hear like drug addicts the next crap that comes from their mouth. That's their true power. The followers and the audience that buys their stuff and pays to see them exposing their big ego in TV.

It may be my english but I honestly don't get what you mean here.

I never said that. You're deliberately twisting my statement about the ratio of blacks to other groups currently jailed in America, for violent crimes in general.

Um, but then why bring up the fact that prisons are populated with blacks if not to emphasise the fact that they commit more crimes than white people?

Many of the powerful people in Africa keep lots of wealth for themselves, instead of helping their own. That's one of many reasons why places like Katito in Kenya stay poor, regardless of constant U.S. support.

Of course there are many corrupt people in Africa too and many of them are put there and supported by Western powerful men to serve their interests. I'd like to know why doesn't Europe and the US go and liberate the Africans from those evil warlords and make it a better place, like they did with Afghanistan, Iraq etc?

Oh, I forgot, all of us are dependent on their natural recourses like gold, diamond etc so we can built our luxury electronic devices, while thousands of slave children are forced to work all day in the mines. So why we should help and save Africa? In case you didn't know google or youtube "africa electronic devices slave".

I never said we shouldn't consider them at all, but the benefit of the majority should be first in line.

The bold part is what I call bull*** of the "Democracy". Who says that the majority matters more than the few and why should I go along with that?

13%? Really? I don't believe that. Moreover if you take into account the Spanish and the Asians, then I say with certainty that White people are the minority in the US.

No, that number's actually true. In fact it's a little high, the actual number is 12.6 %. And white people make up 72.4 %.

Doesn't make his argument any less ********, though.

Is someone really campaigning to change Santa's race in pop culture? lol. Not gonna happen

I had my suspicions that this was the case for some people at Fox.
