Is it possible that Fox could have 2 movies out in 2018? X- Force and the X-Men: Apocalypse sequel?

With the rate they are going, definitely. We have 4 coming out in between Feb 2016 and March 2017. That's alot of X-Men films in almost just the span of a year.

Make it 3.

I kinda feel spoiled that we are gonna get a lot of X-Men films from 2016 to 2018. But bring it as long as they are good! :ilv:

Phase I was good, but Phase II looks incredible.

Fox really has what it takes to build a fantastic shared universe and I'm guessing the first crossover event will be in that untitled 2018 X-Men film.

If it comes down to having to part with the Fantastic Four rights in order to get X-Men TV rights, I honestly believe FOX will say No and walk away.

X-force Is still questable at this time especilly since based on Rob Liefeld's comments the script they had was thrown out and no moves have been made on project since then.Even If new mutants doesn't lead to X-force it's almost certinly Is getting made first. Also best to call for now new wolverine film simply Wolverine.

I think X-Men tv show is dead.If budget for FF really ended up as 122 million
Fox isn't throwing that investment away just to get one tv show approved.
The Fox TV network could screw up show.

The minute it was said marvel would have to approve show chances were very very slim for It.

Production-wise, the new Wolverine movie is considered to be "Wolverine 3", and I'm willing to bet that Mangold and Co. will find a way to work around DoFP rewriting Logan's history so that the events of The Wolverine (which, production-wise, is considered to be "Wolverine 2") still happened.

That may be true. But that assumes that FOX can mix and match characters between the two separate FF and X-Men licensing agreements, and we've seen no evidence thus far that this is allowed under the two distinct contracts.

And even if they can, does the FF (especially the troubled Trank version) add much to what is turning out to be a very crowded mutant universe? And having witnessed WB walk away with a cool $40 million for ONE YEAR of Netflix streaming for Gotham, wouldn't FOX want to cash in while promoting the X-Men brand on their own Network? Marvel certainly isn't going to do it for them.

If FOX does want to be able to do an X-Men TV show, I think any deal that would allow them to do so would be a 'shared rights agreement' vis a vis the Fantastic Four that would give Marvel the ability to use things associated with the Four in the MCU while FOX could continue using those same things, and include the ability for FOX to mix the X-Men and FF properties as they saw fit.

The crossover is happening. To doubt that it is, at this point, is just wishful thinking on the part of someone who doesn't want it to happen.

Peter and Pietro are different enough, but Norrin Radd would be the Detective Munch of the MCU and the FOX Verse, linking the two into one Universe. An agreement like that is going to run up the lawyer fees. I doubt Marvel would agree to that, but who knows?

Between television rights, merchandise and film there's certainly room for a workable agreement between the two studios. I hope one gets done.

Then where the hell is it? FOX has had the rights to both properties since the 90s. Talk is cheap.

You used to claim deadpool couldn't have X-Men characters because fox got that character in seperate deal but both morlock characters and Colossus are appearing In Deadpool.

Fox previously had easter egg of frankling richards name in X2 and Mr fantastic stretched to look like like wolverine in expanded version of fantastic Four.Sony leaks mention they were told Simon Kinberg was planning X-Men/FF despite being coy publicly and there is rumor already how it will be accomlised.

While the mystery 2018 film could still be sequel or spin-off fact it's still unrevealed suggests it could be X-Men/FF film.

Again, I believe things when I see them. And Cudmore's release along with Carano's casting in a similar role had me SPECULATING that there could be a rights issue. Just as you were SPECULATING that FOX held the TV rights to the X-Men family of characters. Having not read the contracts, that's all any of us can do. As we've seen with the Sony leaks, their often is little logic in the agreements between Marvel and its licensing partners.

It is...?
Seriously, the confidence with which you speak about this is confusing. We have seen absolutely nothing from the studio to indicate that this is the case, and everything we have heard about the FF indicates a movie that was fraught with production issues and creative differences. I know pointing that out makes some people turn off their ears, but it's undeniable at this point. Doesn't seem like a great property to mix with the X-franchise, which is doing just fine. So, again I ask, where is this confidence of yours coming from? Because the way I see it, the crossover ain't happening. It's wishful thinking on the part of someone who wants it to happen.
And I feel the need to ask, why do some of you want this so badly? Seriously, can someone explain to me why you want a Fox shared universe? I see it is mostly X-men fans who want this, but the FF and the X-men don't have any longstanding camaraderie or a long, storied history together like other characters. Why make them awkwardly live in the same universe just because that is all Fox has the rights to? Furthermore, you do realize that the X-men and the FFINO have almost nothing in common with one another except for being made by Fox? Two completely different production teams, two completely different film makers, etc. The only thing they have in common is Simon Kinberg. Do we have a bunch of Simon Kinberg fans around here?
I really do want a straight answer because I don't understand it.

Not unless the MCU version was played by the exact same actor as in the FOX-verse.

Same thing goes for any other FF-related character that Marvel might want to use.

There's not a lot of play in the look of the best designed cosmic hero in comicdom. Even a comic book movie that portrayed Galactus as a cloud had a Silver Surfer that looked exactly how the Silver Surfer should look. Regardless of the actor, the dueling Radds are going to look an awful lot alike.

FOX may very well hang onto the FF rights. But unlike the X-Men, it doesn't appear to me that the studio has a strong plan for Marvel's First Family other than extending the reversion date for another seven or so years or so. Expanding an already strong franchise into television makes a lot more sense to me than shoehorning a poorly thought out "contemporary reimagined" FF into the cinematic X-Verse. We'll probably find out what FOX's decision is by this fall.

Has it been confirmed to happen? I figured Fox would take a wait and see approach with Fantastic Four, especially considering the production problems it had behind the scenes.

I cant wait for the cross over with the Fantastic Four! I wouldnt mind if Bryan Singer directs it!
