FX's The Americans

What exactly was the situation they were concerned about at the Russian embassy? I couldn't figure out what was going on there….

I'm curious to know what they would do if Paige actually told someone. Are they so loyal to mother Russia that they'd 'take care' of their own daughter..? We know what the center would do, but what would Philip and Elizabeth do if push came to shove…?

I'm guessing they'd save Paige but still make it look like they're still loyal like fake her death or something? Or blackmail the Center with something.. But if push comes to shove, they'd pick Paige over Russia. Not gonna happen but how gutsy would be it be though if they end up picking their mission over Paige and they kill her? :wow:

I forget, but what are they trying to achieve with the hotel stuff?

I believe it has something to do with the Afghan group that will be visiting soon. As for Paige, she's cracking. They better get a hold of her before Gaberial decides to intervene.

I like the fact that Elizabeth is starting to feel guilty when she sleeps with other men now and is feeling more loyal to Philip.

I watched the pilot when it first aired and I just couldn't really get into it, gave it another try last night and I love it, dont know why I didnt get hooked the first time.

I think it would be a shocking twist if they chose their cause over Paige. I can see it going either way. They are obviously paranoid about what she's going to do with the information; if she tells her pastor or anyone else, they're dead.

They obvioulsy love their kids. But their kids are also part of their cover, so they belnd in as the typical american family..i'm interested to see how this plays out.

Maybe there'll be a split on what they'll do but I don't know... even Elizabeth is getting soft. One thing's for sure: IF the Center acts on it without their knowledge/permission then all hell will break loose.

I think that the worst they would have to do is to kill Paige's pastor. I don't think they would necessarily choose their cause over Paige rather than have it chosen for them. They could be stuck in a position where they have to send Paige to Russia or worse because The Center makes them do it. If they chose their country over Paige I think it would be something more along the lines of, "We can have Henry kill you like what happened with your friends, or you can give Paige to us and work on Henry further. Either you all die, or we convert Paige back home. What's it going to be?" The USSR in this show is pretty ****ed up like that.

It would be interesting if this happened, and then Phillip and Elizabeth basically work as triple agents working both sides of the war to get the resources to get back to Paige. I've long wondered if we would ever get a season with the Jennings in the Soviet Union, and getting Paige back from them trying to convert her could be it. I don't think they'll go this route, but if they do I want my royalties from FX.

You're really into the idea that Henry is just playing everyone.

Paige going to Russia with Elizaeth would change things a lot. I feel like she's going to embrace their identity and agree to be a spy after that.

It was stupid of Philip to reveal himself like that but I get why. Martha deserves see that. The poor woman.

Been binging this season all weekend. On episode 9 now. Damn, the have really outdone themselves this year. Really brutal this year too. I couldn't stop cringing at the tire scene. Ugh. Great season so far. I know Paige is gonna find out soon too. Can't wait

Yeah, Martha deserved Philip revealing himself to her. She's really innocent in all this.
I though philip was going to show up when Stan was in her apartment; that would have been a hell of a scene.

I feel awful for everything Martha has gone through. I really hope she can somehow get away from this mess unscathed, but I fear she'll be some kind of collateral damage. If she doesn't pay with her life, she might have to leave her job and identity behind or something like that.

Just spent the entire week watching S1-current, SOOOOOOOOOOOO good.

I wouldn't be surprised if Martha commits suicide at some point.

It was beyond sad when Elizabeth had to make that old woman overdose.

I really feel bad for martha in all this..DAMN

Damn. This is not going to end well. That was the season finale, right? :argh:

*Sigh* God dammit. What a dumb ass. This is basically going to be my version of "the wrong kid died."

At least Stan got recognized. Good for him.

Man what a season , and Paige?! Ohh my goodness this is going to go down so badly.

It's interesting that we didn't see the pastor on the other end of the phone. Not that I think he wasn't the one Paige called, but perhaps we were not supposed to see his reactions. That could support the theory that the pastor is also an agent working for Gabriel.
