FX's The Americans

I think the next time Philip breaks will probably have to do with his other son Mischa

Why do I get the feeling that Mischa is gonna run into Martha & he will find out who his father is & maybe what he looks like through her (if she kept any photos) & make his way back to America to find him ? As Martha would at least help give him a good lead & would not need the Center & Philip finds out that the Center lied to him etc etc etc

Oh man, that conversation between Gabriel and Phillip about Phillip's father.

I feel like this Mary Kay thing is gonna become a problem, lol.

This ep probably could've been both Matthew Rhys and Frank Langella's Emmy submissions. Phillip is just being torn apart and Rhys does such a great job showing that internal conflict.

The Mary Kay thing was really sad too. That's one of the more crueler things that Elizabeth has done in the show for sure and it's interesting to see her reflect on that.

Finally caught up,right now it feels obvious that Henry wants to become an FBI agent when he's older, and it wouldn't surprise me if Stan tells Philip about it and Philip gets somewhat hurt because Henry feels closer to Stan than him.

Aye, it can't be understated how good their performances are.

Phillip's and Elizabeth's country getup in tonight's episode was comedy gold.

I'm not caught up but the episode before this. That ending. That is the **** I live for.

Best use of Peter Gabriel yet.

I keep thinking of The Americans usage of Fleetwood Mac's The Chain whenever GoTG Vol2 uses it in their promotional material - and how great that montage was. Lay Your Hands on Me was an equally great montage.

And man, I thought Langella killed it last week, but he straight up murders it in this week's episode. Such a fantastic and tortured monologue. So restrained, but his last words to Phillip, oh my. They hurt me the viewer as much as it hurt Phillip no doubt.

Dayum, the look on Phillip's face when he got dumped.:hehe:

This episode was pretty much an acting showcase for Keri Russell.

Reminds me of when Keri Russel had that eye vein bulge when Elizabeth flipped out at Paige. I also love the lighting of the garage scene - I didn't notice it until now but it's tremendously moody.

I also love how Philip can't even hide his disgust towards the casual cruelty his line of work is forced to enact upon others. Bullying Pasha out of the US is...yeah. The usual cruel stuff.

I have some theories about Oleg's mother and the fact that we keep hearing camps being brought up around various characters. Seems like endgame-level stuff they're setting up.

Always nice to see Character Actress Margo Martindale around too.

This episode was wild, they brought back so many characters and seem to have gathered the spinning plates that they're about to catch. One thing that continually blows me about this show is how it never forgets - they remember everyone.

Oleg is not making it out alive this season probably.

[BLACKOUT]Wow Pastor Tim went all in,in his diary[/BLACKOUT]

I was smiling like a loon during the [BLACKOUT]wedding ceremony.[/BLACKOUT]

I was smiling like crazy when they were developing the film.

Could they just off Pastor Tim already? I know he and his wife have some sort of contingency plan if somethig happens to them (or so they claim) but he really is on borrowed time. I wouldn't be surprised if Tim was working for the center all along…

..there's been alot of build up thus far. Hoping this leads into some major "WTF?" moments by seasons end.

Pastor Tim is such an annoying character, and this episode outed him as kind of a hypocrite. He's definitely on the way out.

The show most def is gonna pull out some WTF moments. But in what way? It hasn't really shown its hand at all as the season moves towards the end.

Is Paige manipulating her parents? There seems to be this buzz that she is. I didn't see it, but maybe that was the point to give way to a twist by the end of the season?

Yeah, she definitely is. I don't think it is part of an elaborate trap or sting op by Paige and Pastor Tim or anything along those lines. But I do think she selected those pages for a reason. She is emotionally manipulating her parents to some end...even guiding them as to what to do with Henry...Paige is playing some sort of long term game here.

At any rate, I thought the wedding ceremony was incredibly sweet.

An episode featuring only Henry without Paige? It must be opposite day.

The interrogation was excruciatingly tense to watch.

I was floored by the conclusion of the interrogation. This show has shown some incredible moments of cruelty, either enacted by the Jennings themselves or by their collaborators - but this is near the top of some of the most vile things they've done.

It's amazing how this show makes me tense up by just putting Aderholt and Henry together. I legit sat up in my chair in fear that Aderholt would pick up on something from Henry.

[BLACKOUT]Tuan is a savage :wow:[/BLACKOUT]
