FX's The Americans

Intense ep. I feel bad for Martha. She's really a pawn in a much larger game. Philip looks like he truly loves her though. I can't see her living past another ep…i'm surprised she made it this long.

I actually thought Elisabeth had stabbed her in the park, but it turned out to be a really hard punch (maybe with the butt of a gun or brass knuckles, hence why Liz was reaching in her pocket prior…?)

Once again, i didn't get a preview for next week….

Really did feel bad for Martha. I thought the same thing when Liz confronts Martha. I don't think Philip loves Martha. He just feels guilty for ruining her life and only wishes to atone for it. He just doesn't want another informat to meet a gruesome end like the one that was choked to death. As for the preview....

Martha is on the plane to Moscow. If she's tasked with taking the virus sample dead rat with her. She'll be lucky to make it to Moscow alive.

Remember the black couple Liz was turning from last season. Not sure what happened but Liz is shown attacking the woman.

Still nothing on where this Patty (the Asian woman) thing is going.

The last few episodes have been so damn good. Was not expecting the time jump, but it made sense in context.

Liz better watch it. Push Paige too much and she'll snap right back at you. Good call by Gaberial for the much needed break. Liz was on a mean ***** streak there.

I love the kitchen scene between Paige and Liz. It was intense and Liz really put Paige in her place. Great acting by both actresses.

I have a feeling that later down the line it may be revealed that Martha has been killed.

Last week was almost "happy" for Phillip and Elizabeth ( even though Elizabeth had to kill someone), then a 7 month jump where I assume they were concentrating on their family. This is really light for the show and it has to be going super dark by the end of the season. I thinking something terrible happens to pastor Tim and Paige sees what they really do.

I just got caught up for the season and this is still by far the best show on TV.

Who else wanted to see them at Epcot?

I did, I like seeing Phillip happy . Elizabeth always seem to have to fake it and I don't think we have ever seen her happy in the entire run of the show. Although Phillip has done some terrible things but he seems redeemable to me Elizabeth seems too far gone.

I finally caught up to all of this season, and dammit I should have waited. This show always leaves me wanting more, and I'm going to be sad when it's finally gone. It's like the entire series at this point is one story that I really don't want to end.

I love seeing Elizabeth cracking. A few years ago, she wouldn't even bat an eyelash doing what she did to Don but now she's actually feeling guilty about it. The poor guy!

It's Patty she feels for. Wonder what Don does that made him an ideal candidate to replace the two informants (Martha and the lady who Liz killed before she can go to the police) they lost.

That preview. Damn. Description for those that didn't get it.

Pastor Tim has gone missing in a Russian controlled country. His wife thinks Phillip and Liz are behind it. She threatens them, with Paige right next to them, with a tape that exposes them if Tim doesn't come back. Liz tells Paige they have to run.

Which I think is the pushing point that leads to Paige killing Alice.

Good ep. I think Paige mastering the ability to drive the car was a representation of her becoming something else, as it looks like next week her actions are finally having some real consequences…and she will likley be the one who steps up and solves it.

I assume it was the asian friend that Liz said she was going to miss..?

I wish they told us what was show special about Patty and Don. It's just weird being invested in them and not knowing what's up.

I really thought Paige was gonna crash the car.

The final episode will be Paige taking Pastor Tim and his wife's life

I also forgot to mention... Oleg made me laugh a little.

Considering this is all her fault, probably. Though I am thinking Pastor Tim might not get back and someone is going to have to kill a pregnant woman.

But the wife said she had a tape that would go to the authorities if they wound up dead. Maybe that's why they have to go on the run (as hinted in the preview) because Paige jumps the gun and kills them.

I've always been under the impression that Liz ( and Philip somewhat) wanted Paige to keep Pastor Tim quiet/happy by whatever means necessary; including sleeping with him if need be.

During the sex scene? I know. I was like. "Okay i'm sure it's good but it can't be that good!"

They have almost "went on the run" like 20 times already. :funny:

That isn't going to happen. They are going to make Paige aware of the risk, so when they do what we know they will do, she might accept it.

Me too. I've been half expecting Paige to blurt out how she's been sleeping with him just to keep him quiet/happy once she finally snaps.

I think after Liz scolded her the previous ep, she'll pretty accept anything they do to the Pastor at this point, as it appears she truly understands the ramifications of what she has done. The problem now isn't Paige's acceptance, it's the evidence the Pastor's wife said they have….

The Pastor's wife is bluffing most likely. And if she isn't they can easily figure out what she is doing. The problem is Paige. Usually they'd handle this quickly, easily. But Paige makes it difficult.

I think it would've been better had they showed Tim's wife a bit more and have her talk more.
