I get what the plan is in theory for The Doctor . . . that doesn't mean I have to like it .

So glad The Dark Knight didn't worry about how the Joker became the Joker. I'd rather just see Cobra Commander than the origin of Cobra Commander.

The mystery of Cobra Commander and his charisma and then the revelation itself I think is a lot more compelling, interesting than the re-origin they've given him. Which is arguably a betrayal to the character as well.

Why should I care, as someone who's not a fan, what he'll look like by the very end? If he looks like that for most of the film, then I'll remember that he looked stupid. There's a difference between changing something for the better and changing something for the sake of change.

Huh? Yeah, he's not CC til the end but no information leaked so far has remotely suggested CC will be seen in his classic uniform.

People want to have hope in these projects; you don't want to see an adaptation of a property you like suck. But, yea, it looks like this pooch has been screwed.

I remember the debate over Galactus before Rise of the Silver Surfer like yesterday, and people were saying then that there was no way he'd turn out to be a cloud. Which, in the end, was sort of correct...he turned out to be a flaming face in a techno-cloud.

Well, color me dissapointed. I've been eternally optimistic but this crappy "doctor" costume has officially made me start to lose hope. And I expect the dreadknocks to be boring as hell now after seeing "businessman" Zartan.

Honestly, I was somehow expecting Cobra commander to look like Krauss from Hellboy2 for some reasons(which is still wrong) but this..this isn't good.

I agree with you , Vile but the fact is, many american filmgoers are idiots. Yeah, I said it. They have this need to to know everything about all of these heroes and villains as if they're not capable of following the story without having an long drawn out origin. I was so happy that Joker didn't have one i n DArk Knight, but I know several people who couldn't get over that and wanted some kind of origin sequence. I'm not saying origin sequences are bad but we don't always need them. Part of the appeal of the Commander has always been that we don't know why he does what he does and when we learn little bits and pieces along the way, it makes him that much more interesting. But telling it early and in such an halfassed way, makes him far LESS interesting. I mean, if Transformers flopped, that film would be infuriating for it's treatment of the Decepticons but since we get an sequel, not that bad. This film better get an part II s

arnold vosloo... how similar to Zartan he looks... it's amazing how some like the baroness look spot on but they couldn't get zartan right... Vosloo looks like he's confused on whether he's in Darkman 4 or uncertain of where to take a dump that he's been holding for weeks...

Also, the link says nothing about this being CC. CC was indeed a scientist BEFORE he dons the CC monika so i'm not worried one bit about 'The Doctor'.
