Actually, in you ridiculously quick review, you came off as a stereotyped Twilight fan(Twitard?). "OMG this was terriibbbbllllllleee"

Also, I agree with CelticPredator. A bit too extreme.

"This movie sucks, plain and simple."

Not acting like anything, my ass
twilight fans dont hate twilight.. if anything im an anti-twilight fan.. that makes no sense at all.

yes i said it sucks.. and i also mentioned why.
im not acting like anything

"I joke, I Joke; I keed, I keed!"

what????

Of course, I do, but not something like Wolver -- woops, there I go again.
:whatever:

Is this a bad film? Sure, but for me and a good amount of others, in the end, we had a good time. It's a cheesy film based off of a cheesy comic and cartoon.
yeah ok its nice that you liked this crap, fine.
however when i insult the movie im not insulting you, so there's no need for the childish wolverine comments. Frankly ive heard it all too many times before(even random users who dont know me assume i like wolverine just because my user name which i created for X2) and im sick of it. People could insult wolverine all they want i dont care.

there's no point in viciously defending a movie from comments you agree with lol

Just came back a few hours ago from the show, and honestly..They could of just made this into a sci-fi action movie and that would of been fine, i would even watch it in the theaters again....it really wasn't a bad movie BUT FOR IT TO BE CALL'D G.I.JOE helllllllll nooooooooooo!!

Why does Hollywood do this, why take these movies and stay the hell away from the source material? What was wrong with the source material? It really wasn't a bad film but for the massive who have watch'd or read the comic books it's extremely disappointing..

I love the baroness in this film she was great, hated the fact she didnt have her accent, the f'ing love stor, the relation to rex..excuse me..the doc...no excuse me...COMMANDER (I mean they couldn't have him saying "cobra commander" at least!!!) And i hated how they end'd her character!!wtf!!!

The doc was not bad in this film, but compared to cobra in the comic and cartoon, hell no!!!! Where is the very distinguished voice!!?? They did this same Sh***t with "starscream" in TF and that was one of the reasons why i hated both TF's. Also..that brief moment with "doc mindbinner"..i mean what the hell..why have him act all frail and whimpy!!!Christopher Eccleston as "Distro" was good....he was great to me, but how he becomes "Distro" and the look was half a###! Ish. How the doc becomes cobra and the whole "rise of cobra" line at the end was horrible!!!!

Duke, the ook and c.tatum playing the role...wack! He ended up being what others thought Marlon Wayans was gonna be, dull and boring. Honestly Marlon was not bad at all in this film, he was fine. Good job in my book. Hated the "Ripcord and Scarlett" love story b.s. (what happened to snake eyes and scarlett or duke and scarlett!!????)

Snake eyes and storm shadow was great...didnt care too much for their back story but still enjoy'd the two of them. Could of done without "heavy duty" and D.Quid playing "general hawk" as well. (wish they did use roadblock and "common" playing as roadblock..like they were going to do!!!)

i love the action and the cgi (except for distro's mask). The accelerator suits were done well, only used in one scene. Cool..cuz i thought those bad babies were gonna be all over the place in the film!

Overall it was a enjoyable film, i would rewatch it..but i know damn well this is not G.I.Joe though!!!...and it was waaay better then TF. 1 and 2..Plz hollywood get back to the source material....oh yeah zartan suck'd too...i hope he's like his cartoon and comic book counterparts in terms of looks...

This was wayyy better then Transformers: ROTF? Good god, i may not even bother watching that now.

Wow. Srsly?

to be fare to the m.bay tf fans...i won't say a hell of a lot better, to me it was, but to be fare to them it was just done better....i'm personally annoy'd with m.bay's vision of TFs as a whole so i'm glad this movie came out better!

technically the first transformers film is better(57%)
the sequel has 20%(i think)..

and this movies rating is going down by the hour.
it would take about 100 more reviews to lower the rating to what it deserves however i doubt that many more critics will bother to even see it. lol

Not a harry potter fan whatsoever.

Star Trek and Drag Me I have yet to see.

District 9 is probably what ill go see next. Hopefully that doesnt disappoint.
Star Trek was the movie of the summer for me, handsdown   (I think it was the only movie I got repeat viewings of this summer)

then Public Enemies, Drag Me To Hell, The Hangover, Up, G.I. Joe and Transformers are basically a tie for me, but I'd give Joe the edge. Then Wolverine and Salvation at the bottom for me.

dont watch any of them and just wait 6more days til district 9 lol
That what I should of done, I wasn't gonna go see this movie, but I felt the urge to go since I havent been to the movies in awhile. I should of seen something else, than this piece of cinema-masterpiece:whatever:

Not to me, i could comfortably say i do not like any of m.bay's versions of tfs.I could watch this movie again, but tf2..hell no!!...

i dont think the film (g.i. joe rise of cobra) was bad...BUT it's just has nothing to do with the source material and that ticks me off big time.

Still waiting for this open ended Scarlett/Snake Eyes nonsense too.

which source material are we talking about??

the 80's animated series? (a real american hero)
the 90's animated series? (the dic series, GI Joe Extreme)
the various comics? (Marvel, Image, IDW, etc)
the DTVs that Habro has put out? (Valor vs. Venom, Spy Troopers, etc)

Well most of those were about an AMERICAN MILITARY unit. Not an international one.

categories this how u will..

snake eyes being burnt and can't speak compare to him having a "vow of silents"

the mouth of snake eyes..how hard was it to have a mask on him...i mean even if he has a "vow of silents" ...then why create a mouth on him then? he's not gonna speak

"the baroness" not having her accent...the love story between "the baroness and duke" "the baroness and this version of cobra" being related

the baroness and duke.....scarlett and rip......

the distinguished voice of cobra commander

cobra (the army) being created by some experiment and not just having a bunch of baddies being a corrupt organization bent on world dominance....

And I've explained why you come off as a snob.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, anybody?

yeah ok its nice that you liked this crap, fine.

Childish comments, you say?

however when i insult the movie im not insulting you, so there's no need for the childish wolverine comments.

Really? Wow, now I feel all better!

Really? That's nice. Too bad I don't care. I went onto the Wolverine board and checked the review thread, not just assumed. Take a ****ing joke, you're more worse than a Christian at a George Carlin stand-up show.

there's no point in viciously defending a movie from comments you agree with lol

Well, maybe it does when a guy is acting like a complete dick.

Well most of those were about an AMERICAN MILITARY unit. Not an international one.

well if you gave me a pool of talent to pick from...one being the best in America and the other being the best in the world...Id probably take the second...I get how it rankles people, but some of the members of GI Joe in the 80's animated series weren't even members of the US military...Quick Kick is the only one I know off the top of my head, the recruits in the movie...Chuckles was a cop, I think....I always thought of GI Joe as a military unit that had the best people...period...but that's just me

Do you mean 'vow of silence'??

I figured the mouth was there to give the actor inside (be it Ray Park or the stuntmen) some air flow...it is a full body suit...Park even said in an interview that he could barely see inside the thing

well in the animated series Baroness was constantly necking with Destro and also had a crush on Lifeline I think, there was also an episode where the Joes end up in an alternate dimension and that Baroness was in love with Steeler...I agree with you on the being related parts though, but Baroness is kind of a ho

Scarlett and Snake Eyes had a relationship in the comics (I think) and in GI Joe Resolute she was with Snake eyes but then decided to be with Duke....Scarletts a tease

Saw it this afternoon and it's probably the most fun I've had in the theater since Star Trek. It never feels too long or short, the entire cast is clearly having a lot of fun and it was everything a G I Joe movie needed to be. It definitely gets a solid B rating from me and I can't wait for the sequel.

I gave it an 8. Mainly for the action. It was a good popcorn flick.

And the chase scenes in Paris were sweet. :applaud

yeah i meant to type..."silence"

and i can understand given the actor air to breath..but i'm sure the mouth on that costume was sealed shut, and they could of design'd something better to give him more access to air if that was the case...Just bases off looks...didn't look right..it just looked wierd...i think "the mouth" just made the whole costume more complex rather than just given him a plain old mask.....

and what you typ'd in bold made me laugh!!! ha ha....with the relationship switching about. Cool, but still...the baroness without the accent????

also on the Snake Eyes mouth...I think its a visual cue for the audience, it reminds the audience that there IS a person in there, as opposed to random henchmen in helmets, as the audience will view them as 'disposable'...but that is just conjecture on my point

yeah..i think this is a stretch since they gave the audience the "back story" plus showed "snake eyes" thinking back...so no need for "the mouth" if that would be the case...

I complained about the mouth in the past, but it's grown on me. I think BlackLantern is right about it being a cue for the audience, because given that his eyes are covered, he might have come across as being a bit too stormtrooper-like without a more. Its reminds people that he is in fact a person, and not a henchman or robot.

or the simple answer...when they made the suit, they did a full body mold of Ray Park, including his head, and just kept the mouth on
