It depresses me to think that you were in the fourth grade when TLC came on the scene...

well to be fair it was the "crazy sexy cool" album. rather than their younger album.

I was also in 2nd grade when jurassic park came out ;)

Boohoo, you're a few of years older than him. It's not like anybody's cradle is being robbed

...I assume.

Nope. There's no cradle-robbing here.

Maybe some of you may get a kick out of this.

My personal Millenial/Gen X test:

Have you ever owned a vinyl record of a NEWLY released album?

When someone mentions Mark Wahlberg, do you unconsciously think of the melody to "Good Vibrations?"

Do you have a memory of seeing any of the OT Star Wars movies in their original theatrical run?

If you have a smartphone, do you actually use it to make calls?

Do you have the habit of always having a few quarters in case you need a payphone?

Do you know what a 'zine is?

....

....

....

.... what's a payphone?

It's whatever Adam Levine is at because he spent all of his change.

Seriously, what an oddly dated device to center a song around. It's like writing a song about a beeper or sending a fax.

I guess if you sing about your iphone, it would sound dated 5 years from now anyway (or right now, in fact) So might as well go retro and hipster

I decided to listen to "Bug A Boo" by Destiny's Child for the first time in years a while back, and it starts off with the most dated 90's references possible.

You make me wanna throw my pager out the window

the music video is even more awkwardly confusing....

Get off my lawn, you young whippersnapper!

Your generation would have never survived the Cola Wars!

Was that the working title for the unofficial sequel to World War II? :o

How dare you.... Brett Ratner is an auteur.

:barf:

...just wanted to say 'ello everyone. :yay:

So i guess we have our first Gay country Singer/Song

this is a pretty great (and honest) video and song. Very well done and not flamboyant like majority of gay artist out there. check it out, hope this guy makes it big!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjiyjYCwNyY

id embed the video, but it's got a very very quick blink and you miss it butt shot... so i didn't want to get in trouble for that....
He's not the first. He's just cute, with a good publicist and looks good naked.
It's a decent song though.
Congrats Widow, glad all is going well!!!

In other news, I have VERY mixed feelings about this
http://www.buzzfeed.com/omgitsanf/things-millennial-gays-love-b83k

-on one hand its pretty accurate (which makes me sad)
-I myself fall into some of this ... a few too many (which makes me sad)
-and then i look at it all again and think about it.... and it just makes me sad haha.

I guess it's better than the last Generation of Bath Houses, Bette Midler, and Cher??

I like the two cute guys and all of the drag queen/voguing stuff.
That's pretty much it.

I hate reality TV like Honey Boo Boo/Real Housewives/Big Brother/etc.

And Beyonce annoys the crap out of me. I found that list baffling. It was like they went out of their way to try really hard to be typical. There's nothing much funny or unique about it.

But at least Gaga and Katy Perry weren't on it. So, small victories, I guess?

*yawn*

I'm sure there's been several closted (or uncloseted) country singers out there... but this guy's actually the only one who's becoming successful while being very public about it. Which is the point.

I'm sure there's an 80 year closeted country singer out there who's been singing for decades
