Colossus appeared in an origin Deadpool film. Its not impossible.

It is possible but not needed because Bella Donna will be a love interest.

I hope Madrox will really appear in this movie. He is my 2nd favourite character and I would love to see him with Gambit on heist.

Multiple Man would be another thing to look forward to but I prefer him to be utilized in a X-Factor film.

Would be ideal if they followed the conventions for the main X-Men team, X-Factor and X-Force.

I would love X-Factor Investigations TV show more. PAD created a lot of great stories for many seasons.

Marvel TV shows are full.of restrictions. And I prefer to binge watch all of this and they are all films. Legixn and the gifted aren't included.

We probably won't get another X-Team unless there is something to difference them from the X-Men

‘Gambit’ Hires Coen Brothers Production Designer Jess Gonchor

Omega Underground has learned that the studio has hired Oscar-nominated production designer Jess Gonchor, best known for his work with the Coen Brothers.

His credits include True Grit, No Country For Old Men, Inside Llewyn Davis, Burn After Reading, Live By Night, A Serious Man, and Moneyball. Jess has previously worked with both Gore Verbinski and Channing Tatum on films such as The Lone Ranger, Foxcatcher and Hail, Caesar!

Gambit is expected to begin filming sometime between January and February with some of the production filming in New Orleans. Fox has slated it’s release date for February 14th, 2019.

The Lone Ranger, visually looked really good. So hopefully at least Gambit would deliver on that aspect as I am unsure of Gore's directing skills.

it's odd they're bringing in people who have worked with Johnny Depp. I always thought Captain Jack Sparrow and Roux (from Chocolat) could be tweaked a bit to fit as Gambit on screen, plus, Depp's build is perfect for the role.

Gore directed the first 3 Pirates films with Depp as well as Rango and Lone Ranger, so of course some of the people he's bringing on will have done films with Depp as well.

well now good thing gambit didn't get it's own forum since it being made is now in question with fox possibly selling out to disney.

Gambit will happen.

Possible Disney/FOX deal is dead. Even if this deal would happen it would need a lot of time and will happen only years after Gambit release.

So Gambit must have his board. It is ridiculous that there is no Gambit board yet.

Well I don't think Gambit warrants his own film. Well I actually wouldn't mind if only they already featured him in a X-Men team film that is really good but that hasn't happened.

I think Gambit warrants his own film. He has more then enough stories outside of X-Men for solo movie.

Same. Particularly if they're adapting his backstory, which is what they seem to be doing here. Love the idea, and can introduce a lot of other things into the cinematic universe through Remy. Like Mr.Sinister.

The crossovers can come later in a film or two once everyone makes it to the present or out of their insane asylums.

I think, of all characters, Gambit fits better than most. He's at least a character to advertises himself as a roguish loner type guy. He's had solo books before (that the movie is hopefully better than) and his role as a thief naturally sets up a unique tone.

I think there's an argument that no solo character really works outside of Wolverine and Deadpool (maybe Cable), but Gambit is not a bad choice.

His solo books are good. 1st mini by Mackie and solo by Nicieza are my favourite.

The Nicieza is my favorite, that art by Salvador Larocca was the best. :D

Yeah, Nicieza is my favourite Gambit writer too.

Here is interview with Fabian about Gambit movie.

You’ve written for Gambit, any insight into the upcoming film? Is Channing Tatum a good or bad Remy LeBeau?

Nicieza: I think Channing Tatum is a great choice quite honestly. I happen to like Channing Tatum a lot. I really do. I think he’s a great choice not the least of which is that he likes the character and wants to do it. I have no idea what they are going to do with the movie. I just heard a rumor today that Mr. Sinister may be in it which makes a lot of sense. My personal preference for Gambit was not necessarily doing the adventures of Gambit as a feature film, my personal preference for a live action Gambit was always teenage Gambit. Romeo and Juliet with the Assassin’s Guild and the Thieves Guild as a television series. That was always my preference… I was actually working on a Gambit novel in the early aughts but the whole contract got pulled between Marvel and the outside licensor…I always thought quite frankly Gambit worked better outside of the X-Men then he does in the X-Men. My only hope is that they do a really really stylish, fun heist movie but also create an interesting core character conflict where there is no right answer for him because those are the best stories for him.

I really love Nicieza's writing, his work on Gambit and Deadpool (2/3rds of my holy trinity) is absolutely fantastic but i disagree with 90% of what he says haha. Too bad he's not involved with this movie though.

Yeah, Channing is still not my top choice. :(

There was a con recently that Claremont attended (maybe the same one where he did a panel with Simonson) and he talked about how invested he was in the Gambit movie (presumably because he also worked on it). So he seems to be looking forward to that.

I know Jim Lee was as equally disappointed with Origins as Liefeld was, so I hope Jim Lee gets his moment in the sun with his creation Gambit, as Liefeld and Craig Kyle and Bill Sienkiewicz seem to be getting with some of their creations.
