Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 4

55A15ADD-665B-46C4-8073-3709DDEB4B31.jpeg Hmmm! Yesterday Channing Tatum is still sporting the Gambit shirt. He knows something that we don’t know?

He knows that he loves the character. That wasnt meant to be a tease of anything

He's really starting to show his age now. The ship has sailed on him in the role

He had to know wearing this shirt again in public would start conversations about the existence of the Gambit movie. This thread is proving that. The last time he was seen wearing this shirt was at SDCC.
It may mean something or it may mean nothing.

he probably trying to get that role again with marvel. anyone would do that. lol

Marvel is probably looking to have someone committed to the role for the next 15 years. Channing Tatum is now 39. He may be able to play Gambit now but he's almost 40 cause Fox took too long with a perfect casting.:(

Still, if the character is supposed to be an adult as opposed to a teenage/young person I think movie magic would let him appear in his 30's into his early to mid-50's perhaps.:)

They should have someone write him a new hero based on gambit for Netflix amazon or Hulu

They really shouldn't keep him around and they most likely won't.

I don't think Gambit needs a solo, especially now with the mutants in the MCU.

I'd introduce him in an X-Men film proper, and then allow the character to go off in spin-off projects (Disney+ show w/ Rogue, X-Factor, etc.).

Make him morally gray, and perhaps originally introduced as a sleeper agent for Sinister's Marauders. It'll give him a redemption arc, and automatically set him apart from other X-Men with similar power sets (i.e. Cyclops). Say he leads Sinister to the Morlocks and, upon realizing his errors in judgement, teams with the X-Men to fight back.

Go for the ultimate heart throb today, Timothee Chalamet. He's only 23 now (24 in December), but should be right on age for when a new X-flick starts rolling cameras.

I love Timothee, but he's not Gambit.
would be like a "what if" type of adaptation or something.
Give me comics/90s show Gambit, please.

But but that jawline...and that hair :hrt:. He screams 90s Gambit to me. Throw on a Cajun accent and the audiences are already swooning.

Sawyer from lost would’ve been just right 15 years ago, as well as Johnny depp, maybe even rodrigo santoro today (westworld) haven’t liked any other candidates.

its interesting, because back in the day I just didnt like Josh Holloway as Gambit, something about him put me off, and I "didnt see" Gambit in him, "my Gambit", at least not the 90s show one.
but after all these years, and seeing some pics of him now, from back in the day..... he just had Gambit all over him. The only issue is that he always was much older than Anna, and was getting "old" to start playing Remy, but look wise.... he is one of the few, if not the only actor from the 2000s that really reseamble X-Men's Gambit. I havent seen any other actor this last decade that really makes me think "its Gambit!".
absolutely none.

Rodrigo Santoro was in my mind around 2006-2008, but even if he was/is really hot, and has that mistery aura, I never saw comics Gambit 100% in him.

lets see if any new actor pops up in the upcoming years and we find "the one"

You’d have to watch some episodes of lost to see how charming Holloway is. I feel some of the fan casts focus mostly on which actor looks most like a fashion star sometimes, but Holloway would’ve been perfect

well, Josh started as a model, lol, so he has a fashion star vibe to him too.
and Ive watched Lost (started watching many years after the boom, but I was liking it, until season 2 when I got tired of the plot not moving forward too much)

Dacre Montegomery could be a good pick too. I’d like to see him outside of Stranger Things first though

According to Simon Kinberg on the IGN X-Men Days of Future Past commentary/watch along, Mr. Sinister was supposed to be the villain for this movie.

Dacre Montgommery might be great, if they don‘t cast him as Adam Warlock.

I really hope we‘ll get Mister Sinister. Bryan Cranston would be great (along with those rumors of Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X lol)

The Fox-verse ladies and gentlemen. This photo hasn't aged well at all.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed for Tatum. He seemed pretty down for this.

Channing Tatum should have been allowed to play Gambit.
He would have made a FINE Gambit.1EC8CFD2-AF4E-4177-B44D-E7BED84F62AD.jpeg

Pretty sure if Foxx can play Electro again in the MCU then they can give Tatum a go finally.
