Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 1

Hi! (I'm kind of new here, hehe) :cyclops: I think Bryan Singer acknowledged that issue and tried to fix that by giving her trademark green jacket at the end of DoFP. Therefore the only reason I want to see her in the Gambit movie is whether she is the real Rogue in this timeline & I really really hope so :)

I won't say she was a child, but she was clearly an adolescent.

Of course Wyatt didn't leave due to scheduling conflicts. It is better they part ways than him constantly fighting with the studio. I don't know why they just didn't say creative differences in the first place???

If Fox are still serious about making Gambit it will be interesting to see who they rope in. I doubt they get a director even as big as Wyatt, which is fine, that doesn't mean that the director can't do a good job. When you are working with a **** ton of other people's money you aren't going to have full creative control and unlike some fans I don't think that is unreasonable. There is a point though when a studio can meddle too much and produce a film much worse than they would have probably gotten if they had given the director a little freedom.

I really do hope that this isn't another thing about Fox being unreasonable and exerting too much control like X-Men: Origins and I guess Fantastic Four. Fantastic Four is a murkier situation because Josh Trank comes off as an unprofessional man child.

Yeah, but the older you are, the more you see teens and twenty-year-olds as kids. So I'm guessing you're on the younger side

I'm in my mid-30s.

It's the Patty Jenkins situation with Thor: The Dark World or Edgar Wright with Ant-Man, and as dismissive as those movie can be said to be, they are still good.

I can't speak for Ant-Man but I disagree that Thor: The Dark World was a good film.

Anna Paquin has tweeted she will not be in Gambit as Rogue again, but this question still remains. Does that mean the character will be written out or recast/rebooted? I would be thrilled if they rebooted her just like Emma Frost, Moira McTaggert and Bolivar Trask were and now Gambit, Colossus, Psylocke and Jubilee are being rebooted.

There's no reason to believe Rogue is in Gambit. Rogue is such a big character that they aren't going to throw her in as an afterthought. She'd have to have a significant role and, given the casting of Léa Seydoux as (probably) Bella Donna, I doubt they'd have both.

.......Um 90% of the X-men characters Fox have used on film have felt like afterthoughts. And considering the portrayal of Rogue in every film she's featured in I'm not sure how you've come up with this conclusion.

Bryan Cranston wants to play the villain in this.

Personally, I would have gone with Jeffery Dean Morgan or Tim Hanks but Cranston is still a really great choice and I can see him doing an amazing job as Mister Sinister.

If we are getting Sinister I would prefer someone with more physicality than Cranston. He is a great actor but I would prefer someone else in the role.

Yeah I would prefer someone younger but I wouldn't complain if Fox hires Bryan as Mr. Sinister.

I would take Cranston over just about every other fan suggestion I've ever seen for the character.

Lets not get carried away here. Cranston said he wanted to play a Marvel villain, then picked Sinister. He never mentioned this film, nor any film.

He'd be great though.

While that's true, I don't see him turning down the role of Sinister for this movie or another X-movie. He's clearly gone out of his way to show his yearning for playing a role and if offered, I'd say he'd take it.

I don't think he would be choosy in which X-Men film he wants Mr. Sinister to appear in.

Meh, I'd rather see Cranston play a villain in the Marvel-Netflix line. TV is where he's always been at his best.

Louisiana’s Tax Rebates, Reimbursements, Cajun Culture Pull in Movies, Shows
Louisiana averaged 25 projects annually in the mid-2000s. Now the number is 100. Examples: the remake of “The Magnificent Seven,” starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt; Civil War drama “Free State of Jones,” starring Matthew McConaughey; Ryan Murphy’s Fox series “Scream Queens”; and CBS’ “NCIS: New Orleans.” Next up: Tom Cruise’s second “Jack Reacher” movie and “X-Men” spinoff “Gambit,” starring Channing Tatum.

Campaigning for movie roles never works (if someone can prove me wrong, go ahead as I don't remember any actor getting a role because he publicly said he wanted it) so Cranston most likely won't be playing Mr. Sinister.
