Days of Future Past Gambit...?

Too much of aging slower characters: Shaw, Mystique,...,
also all other looks 15 year younger than they really are: Moira, Cyclops,... enough.
Just make clone of Gambit or travel him to future with Cable.

Would be a simpler solution if they just use the aging IMO. Besides they don't really have to say anything more than Gambit ages slow because of his ability to manipulate energies. Although it would be cool to see physical time-travel sometime down the line.

As long as Singer is attached to these movies, Not going to happen.

Singer, Shuler, DeSanto and Hayter have all said they have Wambit so there is no need for Gambit. Too similar to Wolverine's personality and brooding and too similar to Cyclop's powers.

Exactly!
Gambit is more likely to be used In
1:Sequel to DOFP with remaining FC cast
2;Sequel to DOFP with OT cast

I think 2 Is more likely so they can pair rogue and Gambit together. They will likely fudge the age and have gambit's appearance In origins be one of things changed because of time travel In DOFP.

Gambit is for fitting with the OT Cast!

Thats not even a big issue like as if slow aging is their only mutant powers.

No one minded when it was revealed in First Class that Mystique/Shaw age slowly like Wolverine.

Fan pleasing stuff would come with Rogue and Gambit, but Gambit would work very well in the First Class era if he could get paired up with a young thieving Ororo. Storm and Gambit have some solid history. Could give Storm something actually interesting in terms of an arc as well.

Very true, there are several ways you could use gambit for this universe

Its a fan pleasing stuff that would make a lot of fans more interested to the series.

In my opinion, instead of revealing things that already happened in the past, why don't focus on the present and make things exciting for the future.

Because it's all unexplored when it comes down to it. We don't know how Cyclops, Jean, Gambit and Storm became X-Men in the film franchise or what their relationships were back then. They all have much character exploring to do. Good story telling is not defined by the time period. First Class is proof of that and so will DOFP. Just comes to personal preference on what the viewer wants to see. Both have room to grow with new stories post DOFP. They could go either way.

Then that should have been done before FOX started bringing back the OT cast.

But now with the OT cast finally back and we might get a Wolverine 3 movie set in the modern-day world, probably set after DOFP. Revealing how Storm/Cyclops/Jean became X-Men seems redundant to me now.

And remember, mainstream viewers are paying to watch these movies. I doubt they would be that interest to this franchise if the flow of the series is like this

2014- film set in the present/even it features 70s, technically its not a prequel
2015- film set in the 70s or 80s, might look like a prequel because of the date
2016- present again
2017- previous decade again
2018- spin-off set in the present again
2019- previous decade again

where's the flow in that?

The flow is that the past two main X Men films will have had James Mcavoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Larwence in leading character developing roles that the audience has followed come next year. If they can follow DOFP they can follow a sequel to either.

Sigh!

-There's a flow to First Class to DOFP because of time travel.
-There's a flow to The Wolverine to DOFP because of the mid-credits scene.
-Another First Class movie seems redundant especially if DOFP ended with the OT cast.
-There wouldn't be much flow if after Wolverine 3, the series is suddenly back to First Class 3. I'm pretty sure there won't be time travel to that or if there is, it would be repetitive and not fresh.

In my opinion, FOX should do a couple of films set in the present. And after that if they feel its really necessary to tell the back story of some characters like Storm and Cyclops, then another prequel wouldn't be a bad idea. But going back and forth to the previous decade and present right after DOFP would potentially lead to audience fatigue.
