It'll be pretty unrecognisable if it's in. Though the Battle in the Ice might be a different matter. Of course they've cut out the Manderlys, Crowsfood and ****esbane Umber, but I'd have to assume the Freys will make a return in force for the Bolton occupation of Winterfell. They set it up well enough at the end of season 3, plus there was Walda in season 4.

At least the villainous faction in Winterfell is still (most likely) intact. The real question is if there's going to be a major representative of Northern resistance in Winterfell at all. There's still time to cast someone as the chief conspirator, whether Manderlys or Umber, if the Battle of the Ice is in season six, and I'm sure we'll see at least some representatives of Northern loyalty during our expanded Wall storyline this year. I figure that at least one script writer is figuring that Stannis's offer to Jon will carry some extra weight if it's backed up by one or two Northern extras recognizing him and begging for help.

Now here's an idea; given this series predilection for staging its grandest battle sequences in single episodes, what if they actually spent one episdoe in Season six in a combined portrayal of the Battle of Fire and BattLe of Ice? Have the build up happen in the previous episodes, but then have us witness parallels between the battles and the rise of our two most likely main protagonists? It might be interesting if they give the Unsullied some more R+L=J clues by paralleling our heroes in some way.

There was a young woman cast a while back, whose role was described as "a woman close to Stannis". It's vague, but does leave room for someone like Alysane Mormont to be included, which might carry more weight in viewers eyes because Jeor and Jorah's significant roles in the show. Jorah's going to be getting a lot of screen time season 5 so it might be the right time to utilize House Mormont.

I just picked up all 5 books on amazon for $30. Going to get all caught up before the show catches up!

So long as the Winterfell subplot retains the themes from Theon's chapters, and Mance's schemes, I'll be happy.

GRRM has said before that he doesn't think the fantasy genre needs anymore Dark Lords in the vein of Sauron. We know next to nothing about the Others and what's motivating them. Jon has Stark blood. The Starks are connected to the Night's King. I think Jon's soul or what have you may well be transported into the Heart of Winter, wherein we may learn more about the Others. Jon may even become the Night's King, using Ice to bring order to the disorder of Fire. Fire may be the religious fervor burning through King's Landing with the Sparrows, the intense hatred of the Northerners for their new Warden of the North, or even Danaerys and her dragons. I have no idea where Stoneheart fits in...I was including her with the religious fervor since she's in the company of a Red Priest.

Looks like a P to me. The little bit of a leg coming from the rounded part of the letter is part of the wood not something carved into it.

Looks a lot like Jon vs Tormund, in which case...filler action scenes.

I don't think Emilia has ever moved from that position

I don't see why they don't use their filler to flesh out Varamyr or whomever's in charge of the Northside Wildlings.
